Saw this on Joey's twitter and think its interesting topic and potentially very misunderstood bankrollmanagement logic, have no twitter so might aswell post here.
When you are a cashreg or something like that and don't depend on tournaments to make a living, and then you play only few mtts a year, assuming you are winning in the mtts, you can and should throw the general tournament bankroll requirements out of the window. Bankroll requirements exist so you are very unlikely to go broke and thus don't cut your EV in the future by not having the money to play poker.
If you are cashreg you don't need to have 300bi for the mtts you play because you are like never going to play enough mtts that you can go broke from them, so it's more about gambling small enough on the mtts so that the losses don't affect your EV in being able to play same stakes in cash and also play the few MTTs in the future.
So basically I think it's correct for cash regs to always have relatively big pieces of themselves in MTTs. And obv it's good justification for to GAMBOOOOOOOOOOL!
