I don't think you have to pick the exact episode for power rankings, the person can count for their whole series.

10. Lefort- super gto, people probably will have it higher (ive seen episode 1, think its pretty gassed up)
9. Odd_oddsen - mr big black booty, with the mtv cribs house tour. joey with a little bong rip too
8. Luke Scharwtz- doug polk story is a all time classic. i really think hes the fvckin man
7. Sauce- mr treadmill, very gto
6. foxwoodsfiend- super underrated episode, the first episode i ever watched. amazing degen stories. playing cards with homeless people in the park. NY ish
5. dankness- daddy dank, jungle impressions were pure gold.
4. lex velhuis- just really enjoyed these
3. jeans- BOSS
2. ben86- MR GTO
1. haralabob- mr coltrane dog. he would be great as a repeat guest

pretty crazy tho the list of notable exceptions: kanu, ansky, DOUG POLK (cant believe it), hollywood haxton, JUNGLEMAN

i could possibly leave oddsenn off?

as you can see no tournament players, sorry.

these are prelim power rankings. potential tinkering possible, i can be swayed

Jeans is number 1 for me, hard to find a combination of such a total boss with amazing stories who is willing to tell them so candidly ..

ColtraneDog awesome too but (understably) kept his cards closer to his chest on a few topics, not revealing details etc.

Joey have you tried to reach out to Isildur and if so can you give us a % chance of ever having him on!? I feel you've had a few people on now with the personal relationship to set you up with him?

It wouldn't even be good. Tom never particularly enjoyed the public stage, and his current story isn't public. Unless he has a burning desire to share the details you want to know, it would be a terrible interview. Guessing he doesn't.

If you look at Joey's first podcasts, he was a fun social guy hanging out and having a good time. Listening to him recently on the PokerCast, he was this smooth pro public figure -- hard work and practice pay off. The first version of Joey doing an interview where he was unhappy/uncomfortable would have been a train wreck. Being a reasonable people person he'd probably have gotten through. The current seasoned pro is going to be a good interview almost no matter what. Think about Tom. He's not really a people person. None of the questions are going to be comfortable. It would be much worse.

There was an amount of money value to pursing celebrity that made it worth it for Tom and others. Sponsorship, non-poker income, and the like made it worth it. Now, that money is mostly gone. Why would anyone who really seemed to dislike those aspects of poker come out for a long format sit down? Its only going to be good if he's really into it. Is there any evidence he would be?

Contrast that with haralabob, who also didn't seem much into the podcast. He's also a broadcast pro, and the first part of the interview was him kind of just getting by. Then, he seemed to actually realize that he was having a good time. The haralabob was fun because clearly he had agreed to stop at time X and just couldn't stop doing the interview. His having fun and doing way more than he planned to do made the whole episode compelling. Still think that the fact that he does press professionally helped get through the "I'm not really sure I want to, but I'll give you 45 minutes" part of the cast.

I assume he meant Tom's would be the best if he actually opened up, which it def would be amazing if he did.

Nonsense it would be fantastic, and probably draw CJ's highest ever viewer count.

The thing for Dwan is he has to publicly address the issues surrounding the durrrr challenge in full or it will continue to haunt him forever. He needs to put some clear closure on it in some way.

Well if there is a GPLosion and players participating start pulling in serious numbers in season 2, Dwan's pretty much a lock for a wildcard spot on any team, moreso the asia team(s) for obv reasons. Its basically going to be like when the ultimate warrior returned to WWF. His real life net worth giraffe basically spikes through the stratosphere if this happens and all the Dwan hullabaloo that comes along with that, and fanyboy ogling, can you imagine a jungle versus dwan streamed grudge match?

The path towards all of this basically starts with an "Ingram: Tom-hi poker world i'm back" podcast in my mind.

It only haunts him if he wants to stay on the poker circuit or whatever you want to call what he is in now.

If he walks away from poker forever, his got his closure at the end of the day. Everyones gotta live man, its not like he was Howard Lederer & Co and single handedly started the demise of online poker

I dunno, even if he goes some completely different route in life people will still type his name in google and read all about it.

If he had just conceded and bought out for some portion of the side bet that would have been the end and there would be none of this.

I'd like to hear any Plo updates about the games going at the Seminole Hollywood Hard Rock right now. 50-100 with 11 people on the list. Anyone down there?

I actually have $500 on the Jungleman side, which I'll likely never get to rub on my tats. But it still strikes me as somewhat silly for everyone to constantly be talking about how bad dwan "****ed over" jungle, he is up like 1.5MM + on dwan from playing, I'm not saying Dwan should be just forgiven for the sidebet because of this but, I expect this is a big reason why Jungle doesn't go around trashing Dwan. He has a heart. This isn't a cut and dry OMG DWAN SCREWED ME OUT OF MILLIONS situation imo. Maybe technically speaking it is but, that doesn't really apply to this gambling world all the time does it.

I haven't listened to the entire Lefort-cast, but I saw he talks about Vegan GTO in the transcript, and wanted to just add my small 2c:

Many people, including me, seem to calibrate better with some meat in their diets. For people trying to reach their peak physical performance, I think it makes sense to contemplate where your meat comes from. Most cities still have butchers that offer high quality meats from Cows/etc. that were raised in nice environments.

Think about how you feel after losing 10 buy-ins after an 8 hour grind session compared to how you feel after getting a hug from your mom or wife or something. I'm sure all of us grinders would agree that the stress we feel after a grind sesh like that is a real, palpable thing, so I don't think it's too far-fetched to think that the animals in factory farms are producing high levels of stress in their bodies as well.

Anyway, I'm all for plant-based diets though. My 1 crucial piece of advise would be to go strictly Non-GMO. GMO is some ****ed up **** from what I've read.

And for anyone who wants a GTO way to ingest a bunch of greens into their bodies, I have a green star elite twin gear juicer. I bought it on a whim, but it's actually exceeded my expectations. You can basically juice anything, and it doesn't taste bad. Also, you can get an absurd amount of nutrients into your body in one drink.

GMOs are not inherently bad, though obviously they often are.
If you make shakes, blending is far superior to juicing, as you're throwing away a lot of fiber.

I'm curious what reasonable peer reviewed science would lead you to this conclusion. Any scientific basis? Here's what the CU biology department put in an open letter to the city government to weigh in against banning GMO crops on city lands.

You're basically saying that you prefer your food to be mutated by radiation to GM techniques. There is no such thing as "natural" food.

How about our favorite science presenter going on a little rant?

FWIW, yes he's an astrophysicist. Trust the entire freaking biology deparment of a PAC12 university more. Wait, they agree.

Faceless companies that genetically modify foods for a profit. Yeah, that's something that I intuitively want to put in my body.
