The more I think about, I imagine durrrr being 5'11'' tall. But no taller. Or shorter anymore

But how tall is he if you think about it less?

you got terrible height judgement if you think durrrr is no taller than 5'11''. antonius and ivey are like 6'2''-6'3'' and durrrr isn't much shorter.

This is strange. Someone i spoke to told me that Durrrr was not very tall and he saw him in person. Like 5'10 max. Then you see him standing next to Ivey and he isn't much shorter. Antonius is pretty tall and so is Ivey. Does anyone know how tall they are? I would guess Antonius is like 6'2 and Ivey is the same?

im a height savant, dwan is 6'1, ivey 6'2, pa 6'2

If Phil Hellmuth is riding a giant hot dog on the water, then his length is 8'12''

im 6'1 and iirc durr was taller but not by much

edit: and ivey def tall. id guess 6'4

There is no way Ivey is 6'4. Do you know how tall 6'4 is? He looks 6'2 max.

Is anyone allowed to hang out in the high stakes room at the Aria snapping pics or just midgets?

This is a really dumb question, but if the game is 2k/4k with an 8K mandatory straddle, then why don't they just play 4k/8k? What's the point in calling in 2k/4k with an 8k straddle? Or does having that one extra small (or 1/4) blind really make the game all that much more different...

There's more money in the pot and there are more players who have committed to the pot. More action overall.

More action. If they made it 4k/8k, then the straddle is 16k... Most players playing this high are rich and don't care about losing a million. But if it gets too high, no poker pros will be able to play. At 2k/4k 100BB=400k, at 4k/8k 100BB=800K.

That's my point, if you're playing a mandatory straddle you are playing 4k/8k anyways. So basically if they decided to just call the game 4k/8k, there would be no need for the straddle. The only different would be that there is 1/4 less of a bb..

It seems like these high stake pros play mandatory straddles because it sounds cooler to say that they are straddling rather than playing a stake that is one level higher...

are you stupid?

you do realise that having a big blind of 8k and having a mandatory straddle of 8k are in no way similar games

Everyone seems to be taller than me.

I glimpsed Bigfoot once in the woods near Vancouver, he was at least 1.5x Tom Dwan.

there is an entire subset of the poker community that doesn't understand a minraise on a straddle is 3x the big blind whereas a minraise in a game twice is big is 4x the big blind.
