But wait... he saved the series by using the phrase "18-inch herringbone gold chain" in the same breath as the word "subtle." A true winner.

At least old school and new school poker players can find common ground in misogyny.

Jersey in da house! My first time in a casino, was like 1991, AC and I was playin 5 card draw. But I played on Stars, I played on FT and other sites. I'm like between old school and young kids. I can relate to both ... but I gotta say, I have seen a lotta young kids come and go, at my local card room, and a lot of the old farts that were there before black friday, are still there.

For whatever that's worth.

I've said this before, it's like two clowns arguing over whether it's harder to juggle or ride a unicycle. They are seperate skills. Good player online, does not transfer, always to good live player and visa versa. Especially if you are expecting to crush live, right away.

Gus Hansen ... perfect example ... should just stick to live play, because the math is beyond him. He has live skills that don't transfer well to online play.

But to say that live players are better than online players ... it's like saying cash players are better than tournament players. It's good to understand both.

I do however, prefer live. I am totally for legal online poker, as well. I would like to be able to do both, but right now I can only play live.

I guess as someone in my early to mid 40's, that plays multiple times a week live, I see a lot of problems, with a lot of players, of all ages. One guy came in today, yelling for Billy, "Who's Billy!", he exclaimed and I saw regs licking their chops. I even called and asked to put "Billy" on the waiting list, and everyone was cracking up. These are the kinds of things regs do, to keep us entertained while we are grinding hours. Unfortunately, the guy ready to gamble with anyone named Billy, was tossed by security before he could sit down.

It's not that we all wanted to take advantage of the fact that this guy is mentally unstable ... but in a live situation, we all knew that, before he even sat down, he was crazy. Adjust accordingly.
