I think that in the next two or three decades, poker is going to become more culturally accepted as a game of skill and that the low stakes table textures are going to change away from old man coffees to being dominated by middle aged men.. kind of like what is happening with chess since the 90s. The old gangster traveling gambler idea isn't going to stay.. basically when OP & his generation die, his idea of poker dies with them.

Which I think is a good thing.

Well bighitters what perplexes me is how you internet kids love SAM FARHA ...as back in the day everyone looked like SAM FARHA very few played like him ,but everyone wore a expensive sportscoat and herringbone 7 mm gold chain.Theres 10 thousand smalltime guys like me have done as much for the game as IVY ,bottom of the food chain spawned what a true degen is and thats a guy whom leaves the felt and fist fights the ugly guy in seat 2 in the BINIOINS parkade gets his a$$ kicked stops off at the washroom has a quasi-top halfbath heads back to table #6 and intermittedly drips blood on the felt for the next 8 hours.
