It might have been a lay up, but they sure could have screwed the pooch: "This year, we are pleased to welcome Tom McEvoy and Linda Johnson to the Hall of Fame."

But considering there is a 0.00% chance that either Harrington or Seidel could possibly be kept out of a Poker Hall of fame on any planet in any reality, I'd say these are solid selections.

Glad to see Ivey DIDN'T get voted in. I was pleased to see him in an interview discuss how disappointed he'd be if voted in at a younger age than Reese. Classy guy, but so are Dan and Eric. Congrats!

Why would Linda Johnson's inclusion be considered "screwing the pooch" (what the hell does that expression mean anyway)? Her years of hard work promoting and advancing the game are well-documented.

Both Seidel and Action Dan are slam dunks here. No argument.

Ivey, as usual, is right to be so humble and classy, and the hall of fame, as usual, is ******ed and is a joke to still keep him out.

the poker hall of fame is a meaningless joke without ivey in it. and by the time they finally put him in, it will still be a joke for it having taken that long.

Can someone explain how Howard Lederer is not even considered?

Has this guy not done more than both of these guys? Who if I recall started playing at the Mayfair before this guys did?

Anyway, I think the Seidel and Harrington 100% correct choices, but I just realised that Lederer is not even on the ballot. I actually thought he was already in.

There is really no point putting him in now, everyone knows he is getting in so I'm not sure the validity of the HOF is in question.

this is a perfect example of how one set of logic is applied to the rest of the world and another completely nonsensical set of logic is applied to hall of fames.

if "everyone knows he is getting in" then why the F shouldn't he already be in before people who have achieved far less than him? is it because he doesn't have any wrinkles on his face? or because he's black?

why exactly shouldn't the guy who is by far the greatest all around poker player of all time be voted in at a younger age than everyone else? what is the HOF worth if it takes as long for him to get in as it did someone like hellmuth?
