I voted Buchman. At least if he wins I'll be proud of New York's Main event champion (lol_varkonyi)

If they keep doing Life of Ivey through the summer and fall, traffic on PokerRoad's going to be beyond Joe Sebok's wildest dreams.

Very true about pokerroad. They currently have the closest anyone can come to an inside scoop on what Ivey is thinking/doing, which seems to be what the whole poker world is wondering every 5 seconds. If they don't find some way to seriously bank on this in the next few months then it will be a gigantic fail on their part.

He did say that he never flopped a hand the entire day. It also didn't help that he went 0/3 in allins, which didn't leave him many chips to work with.

Re: The 2009 November 9 thread, Part 1

i'm sure this has been asked already so i aporogize, but has there been any calculation as to how long Moon can sleep in at the final table before it gets to HU, or does he HAVE to show up in order to stay alive (based on the length of the levels, the sizes of the blinds and antes, etc)?

Moon won his seat in a satellite at the Wheeling Island greyhound track. Saout won his seat on Everest, and will share $1,000,000 with the ~50 players who won a ME seat on the site by making the final table.

Even by by Ivey NVG fanboy standards, calling the other eight players at the table schmucks is just ridiculus. For one thing, Jeff Shulman final tabled the ME previously.

I read a book about Bear Stearn's last week so I was familiar with who Steven Begleiter was in a business sense. Was to surprised to see it was the same guy in the Final 27 (and subsequently the November 9).

Re: The 2009 November 9 thread, Part 1

LMAO @ Moon receiving 10x as many votes as Begleiter. Several of these players have deep stacks, Moon doesn't have an insurmountable chip lead, and he's a frickin logger.

How ya gonna feel when Begleiter doubles through Moon? If you think Moon is just gonna coast, then you need substance abuse counseling.
