The PPA, they're a special interest as well you know.
The PPA represents the interests of over a million members. Sheldon Adelson and Steve Wynn represent the interests of Sheldon Adelson and Steve Wynn.

We can dream, but it's NOT going to happen, especially in an election year.

Adelson is pro Adelson, and Wynn is pro Wynn. I wouldn't consider either pro poker. They'd probably both be in favor of snuff film studios if it benefited them in some way. And all of our efforts combined have about 1/1000th the impact of Adelson making one phone call.

I see that Lirva has stumbled his way in here. For those that would like to read this thread without his repeated political rantings and anti-PPA, rhetoric I would advise:

Does wonders for having a good, down-to-earth dialogue about poker legislation in the real world.

Notice I didn't ask the mods to remove his posts. He can opinionize away, but I am going to give people a chance to coherently read this thread without his derailments.

Do a quick search on his posting history on the poker leg forum and get back to me. I know I am being really hard on the guy but he has repeatedly done this.

Would you find that an appropriate post? Why are you responding to me in such a manner? Quite inappropriate imo.

I really like how you rebutted my points.

No, that was kinda trolling what you did there. People can read the thread without you suggesting they ignore someone, and they can form their own individual opinions.

I wonder how many 2+2ers could even say where I stand politically.

As far as rebutting your ongoing duplicate points I have done so in this thread:

and this one:

I'm really sorry for being harsh to you man but can't you see why a find it a little redundant that you repeatedly do this?

Why don't we just refer folks to these several threads you have already made and save this thread the headache? Can we do that?

Ah shame on me for attempting some kind of a compromise with you. I know that's not how you roll.

Anyways we'll let the mods sort out the mess that you will probably create and I'll just put you back on ignore.

Again, not trying to being a jerk. I hope you can see why I reacted that way.

Trolling me? Not really cool man.

A poster posts in a thread and someone responds saying people should ignore them, that's trolling.

And yes, I understand the collectivism as well. Individual expression and thought is discouraged, I get that. That's why you and so many other PPA supporters act the way you do towards me.

I'm well aware of his posting history, in numerous forums.

Heh, lol @ you for offering that "compromise". Good politicking. You'd think that enough of these threads have come and gone for you to develop a thicker skin with anti-PPA people. Regardless, let's make it clear here that not everybody thinks the PPA is good for poker.
