Malmuth is in the right at least technically; but while he is likely to prevail in getting a judgment from the court, he is about as likely as Pokerspot players of getting any money out of Boyd. Meanwhile Malmuth's lawyers will be happy to bill him by the hour for attempting to squeeze blood out of that turnip, whether or not they actually extract any blood.

So Dutch will be busto again. I doubt this idea scares him much. What's to stop him from declaring bankruptcy and wiping his debt, and then getting another roll started from someone lending him 10K? If he declares, he still gets to keep a place to live and a vehicle, and I would assume that he's a decent enough poker player that he can get another roll going. How does he lose exactly, other than having to deal with the inconvenience of being busto for a while (longer)?
