Maybe, but this guy was guilty on money-related crimes and he seemed to run into a few problems:

The justice system is so god damn flawed. Homeless dude robs bank for $100 and turns himself in a day later gets 15 years in prison and a ponzi scheme like this gets 14months, WOW.

"flaud" might be the greatest misspelling on the internet.

pretty sure whatever money the government gets out of this is eaten up in 2 minutes by the massive US budget deficit. time to raise the debt ceiling soon, holler!

Restitution for what? He was convicted of laundering money, not stealing from us. I wish they'd charge these thieves with that but so far that hasn't been the focus of these prosecutions.

A big reason people are not even charged with what they should be is District Attorneys in America are voted in by people and only serve a few years and then have to win re-election. To get re-elected they need to show a high conviction percentage as proof that tax dollars money is not being wasted such as the Roger Clemons prosecution. To secure a conviction they often seek mild charges as they are easier to win.

I dunno but if hes doing fed time from the best of my understanding their is no day for day with fed time..That being the upside.Downside.Theirs a couple of posts on here from people who have been watching to many episodes of lock up.The worst federal prison is 10 times better than state prison.I mean its literally like the difference between state and private college.

How much cash did he hide somewhere in the forest under the ground or in a tree hole waiting to be picked up using his pirate map after he gets out of jail?
