in my opinion Wynn would build the best casino for massachusetts hes got a good track record agree/disagree?
where do you want the casinos built?
This is a somewhat confusing title. Massachusetts is poised to approve up to 3 resort style casino licenses (and slot parlors) in 3 geographic areas of the state. The Massachusetts Gaming Commission is targeting February 26, 2014 as their date for issuing casino licenses. WYNN DID NOT WIN A LICENSE. No licenses have been awarded. The Town of Everett (Northern/Boston region) simply approved a host community agreement with Wynn
. There will be other bidders for this license.
One Indian tribe appears to be the front runner for the license in Southeastern Massachusetts, as they have preference and already have a host agrrement with the town of Taunton and are in discussions with a compact with the Governor. Commercial bids for this license are on hold.
There will also be a license for Western Massachusetts. Proposals have been put forth by MGM, Hard Rock, and Mohegan for this license in Springfield, Palmer, and Holyoke.
Suggested Re-Title: Everett MA voters approve host community agreement with Wynn for casino bid
