On Live at the Bike on Friday Abe Limon said David Skylansky is the reason you post a blind to enter games at Bellagio. Abe said David would enter a game and leave when his turn to post big blind and get in a new game. Can anyone confirm this?

Why would he waste his time like that? Jumping from table to table every 8 hands at most is not going to give you any advantage. Plus if there's a waiting list then you might not even get to sit back down. Sounds false.

Don't know if his opinion should be "important" but AFAIK he is a relatively well known poker player from LA who has grinded mid-high stakes live for a long time and also crushed Party for a lot in the golden era

I had a roommate a while back who used to play poker in Vegas with skalansky back in the 70's. He told me a few stories. One of which was that he used to do exactly this. Confirmed live grimming going back 4 decades.

fwiw, some places like Casino Arizona where I play you don't have to post in the small games but do at the higher stakes ones. When I visit The Orleans I don't have to post so it's not limited to Bellagio.

I was listening to the discussion on LATB. I saw it not as a dis but more pointing out Nittyness of of Sklansky.

FWIW I doubt posting was invented due to Sklansky.

As a long time LATB listener I take just about everything not strategy related on LATB with a grain of salt.

ya, he wasnt dissin sklansky. the play is totally legitimate. he was just relaying the fact? urban myth? that sklansky did this a lot at casinos the didnt have the post rule in big games and they would have to institute it because of him.
