Wait, someone explain to me what I'm missing here. If he's willing to buy his own action at 1.7:1, why is he selling action to the event, when presumably he could buy all of his action if he wanted at 1:1 by, you know, not selling action?

I feel like I must be misunderstanding this somehow.

This guy has understood life : sell 55% (only made the math mentally but it must be super close to this) at 1,87 = totally sold, keep 45% (=4500$) for yourself totally freerolling, that's what a pro should do

Even if his true markup should me more like 0,87 than 1,87 he probably has 4k expectation for every 10k he can totally (ie 55% LOL ) sell at 1,87, do you know a better job than playing NLHE+2 cards (sorry it's a copyrighted thing ) for 4k$ during like 2 days on average without having to put a single $ from your pocket.

not sure why people are surprised?

he's a known name (even if he hasn't been relevant in a long ass time) and people are idiots. iirc mike sexton had someone back the full million for the one drop for only 50% of the winnings
