Seen any specific, strange ramifications (interesting or humorous) resulting from the sideswipe the DOJ hath wrought? Things like overlays resulting from guarantees not hitting? (With half the usual player base unable to play). "Impossible" situations? Players who prepaid into events? Opportunities lost or found by the big sites or the little nippers? Anything interesting that may change the face of the poker industry (what remains) going forward.

Also, is there anything no one has thought of yet (or is too fearful to consider) that might result long term from the unprecedented swift action of the DOJ...a so-called butterfly effect?

Here's a missed guarantee: Cake Poker had an overlay in their $25K guaranteed yesterday getting 142 runners paying $150+12, missing it by about $2K. I'm sure that wasn't nearly the best one, even with many sites adjusting the guarantees downward.

ftp cut their guarantees, but the actual lobby prizepool was stlil displaying the old guarantees which was causing some massive overlay, and ****ed up payout structures where the fifty/fifty is now a 12.5k, but still paid out 50,000, and apparently there were so few runners when the tourney first started, that it was already hand for hand as the tournament dealt the first hand. unless ftp pulled some bs on the players, there was about 30,000 overlay in the tourney by the end of late reg. wrap your head around that one lol. they have since fixed the error

Stars automatically unregistered me for one of the tourneys on Sunday, and gave me the T$. I'm still registered for the SCOOP events I satellited into, so it seems like they will wait to unregister us until it's closer to the date.

That's insane...wonder if it went from hand to hand then back to non-h4h then h4h again...

Maybe the "Big Game" just got bigger. Perhaps the High Stakes on-line American players will move to Vegas and get the Big Game going again.
