Think last time Hellmuth charged 15 per cent of winnings for his coaching to a November niner, just think the bloke is a chancer to be honest. Although his results are great, there are alot cheaper coaches out there, that would do just as good a job if not better.

could be great dependent on the type of player as long as it isnt at some absurd rate which i dont doubt it is, if so as has already been said 1 can easily find real good coaching elsewhere for much cheaper. dont get why november niners make it public about whos coaching them before the final table

I am NOT a phil hater. I enjoy his antics and his WSOP tourney results speak for themselves (num of WSOP Cashes, % making FT after cashing, etc etc). So for large tournament fields he is doing something right.

But, the camera attention whoring during WSOP/ ESPN taping is sort of pathetic.

The bit where he broke into Chad Powers interview and ensuing comments were cringe worthy,

p.s. Kroon play was so terribad on several hands they showed that I assume he was not actually listening to everything phil was telling him to do.

I am a phil hater. The guy is a grade A knob.

It's not a large field tournament it's a final table apart from the topic of camera time which Phil has to be one of the foremost experts on especially if the camera time involves being a dick there are plenty of people more qualified to give expert advice on final tables..

I like this post I can agree with everything you posted. That Kroon guy was mr. spew.... I hated the was Kroon was playing every hand I saw him play I was wondering wtf he was thinking.

His statement thing was a joke. He is making it about him and trying to get himself in the nov 9. How was Phil allowed to be inside the ropes during the wsop while everyone had to rail outside of it? Why doesn't anyone say anything to the floor? I didn't hear what he said during the power interview but I didn't notice it. When are these people going to tell him to stfu and leave them alone. If Phil came up to me while I'm doing an interview on day 6 I would have told him to **** off.

I don't buy into the idea that him or negraneu are good for poker and bring in more players/viewers. I'd love to see numbers that prove it. They are ****ing annoying as hell and make any program unwatchable.

I don't think that much of what has enabled Phil Hellmuth to perform as he has in large MTTs can be taught. And I think that what could possibly be taught would be pretty hard to teach and learn. And his fundamentals can be pretty bad.

And if this is correct:

then he is charging a lot of money.

A $1,000,000 win that would have been say $600,000 after taxes becomes $450,000 after taxes and paying Hellmuth. And the absolute amount that you're paying him increases as the prize won increases.

Yes there is a big difference with having some coaching and the difference between 9th and subsequent places but this figure seems ridiculous

It's not as easy as you think for PH to teach someone to be as big a douchebag as he is.

I found Kroon's "What Would Phil Do" t-shirt ironic, as about every hand of his that made TV was some spew-tard line that Hellmuth would have never taken.
