I know this may be flames around here, but I honestly believe play money online players are as good, if not better than your average 100nl online player. the face that the money has no value allows us to learn how to make the correct aggressive plays much more often. this allows us to see much more tough decisions that the average low stakes grinder. We may be better as a result

honestly not a troll. I just think play money plays don't get as much respect as they should . Chris Ferguson did a lot of play money IRc games a long time ago and he is one of the greats

Also I tried my hand at 100nl and felt I was easily the best player on most of the tables I was at.the regs there seemed to play fit or fold and couldnt take down pots without a big handd

While I can follow your reasoning, even if this were true (which, anecdotes aside, there is no study or anything that gives conclusive evidence one way or the other), overcoming the psychological preassure/rush of playing with and risking losing with real money and just focusing on making the right decisions is an important part of being a poker player.

A Play money player could master the math and reach something that resembles GTO but I reckon they would have a real hard time mastering the mental game.

Playmoney can be good practice on higer levels. But it can never be more then practice. The pressure that comes with real money games cannot be simulated in pm games. So u can only really learn and develop in real money games. Just as in tennis for example, people can play great without match pressure, but once its a real match they completely screw up.

Nice troll sir. The fact that there is no monetary value in each decision allows you and the competition to make worse/careless plays more often. No decision in a play money game is going to be real "tough", as nothing of value is on the line.

Play money online is very helpful for raw beginners. The same could be said for , gum drops /matches /monopoly money, in live games. But after you learn the basics, you certainly need the money factor to be added. Think the OP is just mildly trolling here.
