There's not a single poker room that wants winning players, why would they?

Nobody likes winning players. The poker rooms don't, losing players don't and winning players don't like other winning players. So why should anyone try to compete for them?

That's the problem.

It's a conflict of interest w/their own customers. Ideally, a Poker Room would be concerned only w/providing a place for willing players to participate, and collect rake 24hrs per day, 365 days a year ! Like a live B&M room, they should not be overly concerned about who wins and loses.

It's Poker.

Todays PokerScout rating list P-Stars w/ 168085 players online, 23373 cash players, 28535 24hr Peak, and 17000 Seven Day average.

I think the "ecosystem" is just fine, and they are shifting towards greed w/recent changes......(as well as shifting the game from skill based to chance)

The trouble is that even if someone came in with deep enough pockets to sustain a room offering a standard range of games with, say, half the rake of stars, then it would make zero difference, because the types of regs that cause the problems simply won't be happy with beating the rake, they'll want to be able to bumhunt, use their scripts, use their tools, bring the games grinding to a halt as they're playing 350 tables, they won't just take their fair share, they'll want everything as soon as possible as it's in their nature

I believe this is a myth.

Or good ole fashioned Corporate F.U.D (Fear, Uncertainty & Doubt) spread by a virtual monopoly, that want's not just rake, but every players entire deposit as revenue.

A site that views a player as a winner or loser is more like a Casino than a Poker Room.

This is bad for Poker.

That and where it also really hurts is the fact these sites change things without telling anybody before hand.

They just go about taking away benefits, changing skins and software builds (that are often worse), and killing offs popular table offerings and guarantees without any warning, chance for rebuttal, or even a "thank you".

I get that poker is dying, and companies are losing patience with the product....but it can work for both if they just put in a little effort.

But when you own the majority of the market cap, "effort" isn't required as much as "profit efficiency" is.
