Yeah now that I've thought about it it would probably be business as usual for the Secret Service, and probably just a huge pain in the ass for the players/staff to deal with.

The secret service would have to shut down the poker room for one day and search for all kinds of stuff, which isnt going to happen.

Theoretically, if he did play, I'm sure the WSOP and the RIO would bend over backwards, having his table in a roped off section with armed guards, etc or something like that. Or even a setup where he\s not actually there, but has a hole card cam feeding life to Washington for his own cards and an overhead cam with audio to watch the other players and betting and then he has a guy sitting in his seat just making the plays that Obama tells him to make. And that's just some dumb idea off the top of my head, surely there are ways of making it work, if he actually wanted to do it.

The reality is he has a pretty important job that prevents him from being able to do this...unless he just showed up and started shoving every hand until he busted. Now that would be pretty epic.

This made me laugh out loud. I can imagine him see his cards, think for 3 seconds, and say "Im all in". First hand would be like "wow must be aces" second hand "huh?" and from then "wtf lol!". His table will eventually hate him btw, although america would love it. Just like Gus on poker superstars. You can win a tournament that way btw, its a better strategy than most.

They could sweep the Rio convention center and the Amazon room in about four or five hours when there's very little traffic. Basically they'd have to shut down the cash games for a couple hours between 5am and 10am, which Harrah's would be happy to do to get the President there. Then once its secured they are just mf'ers about screening everyone who goes in and out.

The interesting question is if there are any players with checkered enough histories to make the Service 86 them from the Rio for the days the President is there.
