Why would it have much of any impact on poker?

Actually $140 million, it was $57 million profit for the seller.

That is why I said more than $57,000,000. I knew (from trusting an article) the Seller had a $57,000,000 gain on the sale, but I didn't know anything further.

EDIT:

Knowing basically nothing about the business, it does seems like an insane price to pay for a local newspaper.

Aside from Nevada politics, this is the biggest non-story of the month. It has ZERO to do with online poker.

Everyone who reads the RJ already knows the news coverage is "print to fit", very selective as to what stories regarding gaming, the Nevada share of gaming, or politics in general, get coverage.

Only Dems in Nevada, are likely to consider this shift newsworthy .....

Time for the Greenspuns to revive the LV Sun ?

I cant even recall the last time ive even seen a newspaper lol. Now thinking about it i can honestly say ive never purchased a newspaper in my life

I'd lump them together with pay phones

Adelson is the definition of a chrony capitalist. Uses seemingly unlimited money to manipulate elections, control media, and ensure business competition stays weak. Funny how he claims to be a conservative republican, yet supports the big government system that he manipulates to regulate his business sector so he stays on top.

It sucks that the only way to stop him is to let him die.
