This, why would he take time to come here and explain something that as far as I can tell has nothing to do with the poker community, other than the fact he is a person who plays poker.

LOL Greensteinmortagements

Why is it a big deal?, i mean, experienced poker players like him are build to deal with big high and lows (if true), they're not like the rest of the people, that if they go broke it's all finished, with 20+ years in the high stakes Greenstein can get to the top again, he knows the right people, has the skills, so this is the poker players life, nothing more

The thing i admire most about poker players is how (at least the success stories) they start small 50-100-200 dls and they build themselves from that, based on good decisions courage and game study, so no "poor Barry", this scenario is always a probability, and he got the skills to overcome this

Known poker player or not this thread should have been closed and removed a long time ago. This is none of our business and if I was Barry - whether or not this is all true - I would be making some phone calls to the 2p2 owner(s) right now.

I am very sad to see this happen to Barry. I don't like it when money leaves the poker economy but I know Barry was taking the money and giving it to a greater cause which I respect. I would like it if no player had ever had to go through what he is going through, but if it had to happen I would much rather it happen to somebody like David Grey as it is quenstionable as to what he does with his money. I also don't like his strategy of playing nothing but kings or aces, even laying down kings pre if somebody raises before him in the fear that "they have aces". I will never come to terms with how David Grey managed to get all his money (was poker really that easy 10 years ago?), but I think Barry has every right to be there. He is a solid player and good things should happen to good people, which is why this news is very unfortunate and I hope somebody lends him a hand.

Looks like Baz should't have been donating his tournament winnings to charity after all

So the thread that said Barry was worth 100M is wrong? how can that be? This is another example of how little money these "pros" really have. I'd put the % of these guys above water at ~1%

+1

He has been good to come on and explain things in the past.

If I was in Barrys shoes I would never want to post on 2+2 again.

Some of the posts on this thread make me cringe bad.

One of the good guys in our world.

LOL. Op, love how you completely contradict yourself. You say you respect Barry so much, yet you start this thread? LOL

This thread is getting ridiculous. A thread devoted to Barry G and its all about real estate and mortgages, instead of the most important part of this man's life. Which is all the young, hot, international poontang that this balla has tapped over the years.
Barry you are a Lear jet flyin', limousine ridin', kiss stealin', wheelin' dealin', son-of-a-gun!!!
Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooo
