got scammed by a degen as well and its absolutely terrible. Whatever you do don't give up, find out his number/email/friends he knows and keep calling/messaging/anything everyday to get contact with him and work out something so that when he has money you'll be the first person to be paid back before the lineup of others he prob owes.

It may strike you as odd, but to some people, the risk of going to jail, etc is worth less than the money.

There's a lot more to this situation than people know about, the people insinuating WCG's friend was "in on the scam" are complete morons. Brad owes money and has asked for stakes from many many people, he's just a degenerate and pit degens all the money away.

It's an unfortunate situation all around, Brad's a nice guy, has had a bunch of **** stuff happen in his life and can't control is gambling addiction. Brad always had plenty of money on him, and covered an initial xfer, the second one probably wouldn't have been an issue either if Brad hadn't gambled off all his money. Sucks for WCG, but at the end of the day he'll be alright, it's not his life savings or case money. Hopefully he gets paid back and hopefully Brad isn't afforded the luxury of borrowing from anyone in the poker world.

OP, here is the thing, no matter what booth had in front of him or how much you trusted him based on the first transaction, aren't you aware of the massive debt he has admitted to?

I got off cheap being scammed for a total of about 3k between two live pros, both of whom have claimed plan to pay me back but it's been 2 years so I doubt it. One of them has been a candidate for the Australian poker hall of fame a few times. The other one I personally saw make 25k over the summer in Vegas, so I thought nothing of loaning him some money online. Weeks later, he was broke and has remained so since.

Never lend money to anyone you don't know for a fact has the means you pay you back I guess
