BS, 28k is a enough for me to not just let it go. If he cant repay it all in one large sum write up a loan contract where he pays x amount per month. Get what you're entitled to, back in the day if this happened I don't think he would exist anymore.

Coming from a 2+2 legend. I find it hard to believe you didn't know he was broke. The fact that you are a hs reg in all forms of nl online poker on 2+2 makes this story even worst. Sounds like this was a planned con, borrow a smaller amount so you can pay back right away in order to steal a much bigger amount. There is a decent chance your friend was involved in this plan too, Booth probably owes him a giant sum as well.

The usual rant of STOP LENDING MONEY TO PEOPLE AS CHARITY. There is nothing good about lending someone money with no interest rate that you don't trust literally 100%. Obviously he can't just come out and say this because then he looks less sympathetic, but that seems to be the situation.
