I can count 3 very close friends in my life and have no doubt that they'd never ever scammed me for any amount of money and neither would I, but it comes down to education and moral values.

They wouldn't do it because they're incapable of doing it. Their values make it such that they literally wouldn't be able to sleep with this on their conscience and that's the best guarantee you'll ever have.

If I walk out of a store with extra change, even something significant (in the context of getting it for nothing) like 50 or 100$, I wouldn't be able to walk away with that money, it'd literally be impossible, I'd physically be stopped in the street and have to walk back to the store.

Imo, if someone's values allows him or her to be ok with owing someone else money or doing something unethical, I'd never associate with that person, let alone be friends with him/her.

If you feel that you can't even trust the people you call friends, you should question either whether they're actually your friends, or your own values if you feel they are indeed your friends.
Post of the month right here! It's still early but it will be hard to top. Not being sarcastic either, great advice.

You would hope the guy who was blatantly cheated and put through so much grief because of it wouldn't do the same to someone else.

Regardless the point is taken, clearly these days you just really cannot trust almost anyone you do not know personally very well.
Bolded part = how hustlers hustle. They suck you in, get you to trust them, then they exploit that trust. Then they run.

Good that you are taking responsibility for your own ignorance, but glad you are calling Booth out. Damn degen poker players.

Even though OP once hit me with a racial infraction - which was absurd btw - it sucks what happened to your 30k transfer. Plus, it doesn't sound like Brad Booth has any intentions of paying you back given all the talk of his other debts, etc.

Hope it works out for you WCG. I too always think/read WGC.

Hustlers gonna hustle

The last three times I heard of OP getting 'scammed' he did NOT lose money in two of the transactions and profited in the third. So are you sure you're getting scammed, OP? Did you leave something out? lol. I hope you got scammed for real this time, you deserve it.

I wish I was a scoundrel sociopath. I could make so much monies scamming poker players. My conscious prevents this from happening but I never cease amazement as how gullible and naive 99.99% (thanks cm) of poker players are.

Just to be clear in the real world nobody who was within ten degrees of normal would loan that kind of money to a complete stranger. It is absurd.

If a well known poker player is asking a complete stranger for an exchange or loan you know he is playing you. He has to know a hundred people who could do the deal if it were legitimate. Why would he need some stranger.

Come on people.

this isn'treally true. as captzeebo said earlier many deals are done without problem. i have acted silly like OP but had good luck never had a problem, i also probably had a bit better judgment than OP but a couple times i was quite careless. still though, i have made doznes of transfers with various strangers and aquaintinces and "friends". most of the time i would demand transfer first, or if it was a smal amount or i needed it done for convenience i would rarely send first...

edit: i guess you are right if a well known player asks a "complete stranger" that is fishy.

dont worry i am DELDAR

wat happen to u v lucky. You learn lesson for almost no money. The amount this stuff goes on is unreal and almost every HS player gets scammed once in their life. It's kind of like telling that girl that you like your feelings and then later on in life ur like ohhhhhh rite lol i get it. The lesson here is TRUST NOONE.

This is an unregulated economy with a lot of ppl who got rly f rich and have no life experience with that sort of thing. Money is ABSURDLY freeflowing and it's a rather green society, though over time it's slowly hardening i guess (you are helping this, before thread I didn't even know who brad booth is for instance). Ignore the morons who are badmouthing you, consider the fact that they can't beat 10 cent poker, they don't have money to get scammed off, and then don't waste ur breath to reply. U r rich , u not need to worry just not make mistake twice.

Now as for ur strategy to get the money back . I know u know about seducting, so You should apply your skills and make the booth fall in love with you. With your clearly superior handsomeness and poker talent he will be OVERWHELMED by you and if he is not gay already maybe he will be gay. Then you can meet his parents. steal their car/s.

Really agree with this. The trolling in this thread is pathetic.

You know you made a mistake and admitted it and thats that.
Brad Booth is the villain in all of this not you.

Keep your head up and I hope you get your money back.

OP. While violence seems to be like the more appropriate route (at least in my eyes), it would be so epic if you created a site dedicated to Brad (like Nick Rainey's site)..wait 2 weeks for your money, and if you don't get it pay a few dollars to a programmer to build the site and post all of his information..just my $0.02

Am I the only one who's "a-hole alarm" went off the first second I laid eyes on this guy?

I had no idea he was a confirmed scammer before this thread.

I appreciate the public service announcement.

I believe that most jurisdictions (at least in the U.S.) no longer apply contributory negligence. Comparative negligence is now the standard.

Also, this has absolutely no applicability to this fact pattern. If the OP'er pursued a claim, he would not be doing so under a theory of negligence.
