Phil's gambling high with this one!

Provigil would prob be best for this. Taken at hour 50 or so.

As TxRedMan says, taking Adderall after being up for a long time would not be advisable. There is a very small risk of "amphetamine psychosis", which is essentially a psychotic break.

I had an 24 year-old student one year who had been in the Norwegian special forces. He said that on crazy missions they would take amphetamine intravenously AFTER having been up for like three days, such that they could function highly for like two more days. Keep in mind that special forces guys have somewhat gifted adrenal systems --- most people would completely lose their sh%t if they had to go through that.

Phil, I'll try to keep you company at some point during this stint.

Don t try this on drugs like amphetamine, coke crystal meth ect.., theres a big chance you will not be the same after days on drugs w-out sleep. you will 100% start seeing/hearing weird things, paranoia can become semi permanent and ruin your life.

I once rode in a Bellagio elevator with Phil and the stench coming off him was so bad after a long session that I can't fathom what it will be like in this session. I doubt that he sets any records since the entire casino will be so nauseated the game will certainly break.

If I was him I'd have a case of redbull.

i'd go el'natural for as long as humanly possible then when im about to give in ill start chugging down red bull (consumption rate p/h = cans you have/hours left)

start with no music, when u need waking up for a bit play loud musics

play standing up for a lot of it

They should just do the ME non-stop till the winner. Should be good for a few laughs at the final table when people begin to bat away the dragon swarms.

Phil Laak already acts out his mind...I think the lack of sleep might have an opposite effect...like giving ADD kids, meth.

About 16 years ago while a starving student, I worked about 61 hours straight between two jobs - one in an assembly-line factory on the night shift, and the other roofing houses (shingles) during the day. Actually fell off the ladder due to carelessness as I was climbing it on the second day (with two bundles of shingles on my shoulder) thankfully onto sand. The night-shift job was standing in one spot (not sitting like at a poker table) with simply repetitive hand/eye coordination, which was very easy to do throughout despite the lack of sleep. Not a lot of thinking involved either. The day job was a different story, as it was a lot of grunt work our in the sun but still not very taxing on the brain.

I would imagine that sitting (not standing) playing a very repetitive card game in an environment where you can have others bring you anything you need (ie. food, water, massage, etc.) and can use items such as an mp3 player to keep your mind slightly occupied on things other than the card game, would not be very hard at all, especially if he is playing at limits where he would not really care about losing a bunch of buy-ins as the session gets longer.

I hope he beats the record, with no lasting ill-effects, but it doesn't appear to be anything special that countless other have done probably many times over (but not in a record-breaking setting).

about 10 years ago i had a stalker who freaked me out so bad i got insomnia and couldn't sleep for 7 days. no hallucinations, but the world did seem a bit surreal, and i was definitely not sharp. i ended up drinking a lot of coffee in order to function at work during the day, but would end up pacing around my apartment all night. by the end i was really run down physically, and out of desperation downed half a bottle of scotch which finally knocked me out. i slept for 28 hours straight and was pretty disoriented when i woke up.

cliffs: insomnia > drugs
