By the way, I never get offended at any "all Asians look alike" notions. Obviously, it's not all but many of us do. I had a few embarrassing moments growing up when I thought another Asian woman was my mom. (Quick glance, not really paying attention, etc.) I've mentioned this before but my brother did a comedy sketch with the other doctors from his medical residency. In the bit, they all dressed alike, combed their hair in the same way, then sat in the chairs with the same pose. If one person scratched his head, they all did. Stuff like that. The nurse would come in, ask for one of the doctors, then they'd flip for who handles it because they knew she wouldn't know who is who. My dad and I both took a few Mississippis to scan the stage and figure out which one was my brother.
If you've seen the movie United 93, you might remember an Asian air traffic controller in the Herndon center. From the side and back, that guy looks exactly like me. (Facially, not as much.) I've seen that film a few times; each time, I have a moment where I think I'm seeing myself.
Then again, you never know. Do a quick Google search for the names Anais Bordier and Samantha Futerman, and you'll see an example of someone who noticed another Asian who looked EXACTLY like her... and for good reason.
But back to the thread:

This only works against weak opponents.
Thank you, I see it now.
What threw me was the "I’ll often get raised by better-than-one-pair holdings. As a result, I have a lot of immediate fold equity on the turn" part. The "As a result..." sounds like he was saying he has fold equity OTT as a result of being raised OTF. He probably didn't word it very well, and the reporter quoted him verbatim.
But still... none of you live regs recognize him?? That might be the funniest part of this whole thing. If he is half as good as he says he is, certainly someone on 2+2 would corroborate his story.
