Now that the alt-right has shown up can Mason's ill-advised thread be moved to politics unchained?

I did it back in the day with a Userscript/Greasemonkey script, which you can run with an add-on to Safari, Firefox, or Chrome.

The gary johnson thread was locked because people were talking about politics without metioning him (which I think says a great deal about his entire problem -- that and oh yeah seatbelts wouldn't be universal in libertarian run country).

But my question is why lock the thread? You don't want people to enjoy the site? I don't get it.

I think the idea is to keep the politics discussion in the Politics and Politics Unchained forums, and the poker news, views, and gossip talk in the NVG forum - with the exception being what has become something of an NVG politics "containment" thread, likely allowed because there is sometimes some crossover.

What Bobo said. The conversation went off the Gary Johnson topic and as such is best discussed in the dedicated forum and/or NVG thread. If you'd like we can move the derail into the NVG 2016 presidential thread so you may continue. Lemme know.

It makes a lot more than zero sense - didn't think we needed two different threads with rumours of who might be buying Amaya.

A day has passed since I became an NVG mod and the world has not ended, so I thought I would make a quick post.

Thanks to the admins, other mods, and other members for welcoming me. I will do my utmost to uphold the high standards of NVG posting and modding.

As a mod I live by simple rules, the rules posted in a sticky at the top of the forum. The most important rule is Rule Number One (Keep your posts respectful and don’t insult/attack/threaten/flame other posters or poker players).

I encourage everybody to report any post (click on that red triangle thingy to the left of the post) that they find in violation of this simple rule.

Paying homage to one of the most out of control posters 2+2 has ever seen (TBAB) by quoting a post of his from over 2 years ago in another forum here is...rather odd. If TBAB is a role model of some kind - you may want to reassess.

Genuine perspective here.. There are a few posts in the Hastings thread that are obvious slander presenting false gossip or huge exaggerations as fact. I highlighted one of them. Why delete a post that is critical of how you're handling the sit while leaving up some of that crazy stuff? My recent post may have been misplaced but I think you help people develop inaccurate perspectives and it snowballs. I know there's a lot of crazy over there and am not suggesting you mute everyone. There are some that clearly go over board imo. Additionally, leaving that stuff up leads to some of the over-defensive responses and people dismissing legit points brought up in the thread.

Did you use the report feature to flag such posts?
