My account was also short a cashout which I never recieved that I had requested shortly before FTP went down... I emailed Support and got the below response:

Ok, pro tip for those who get an error after having reset their password and tried to type the temp one. The error i got was this :

"We 're sorry.But we cannot access your account at this time.Please contact customer support."

So, open FT and click Observe then Cashier and then instead of your username insert your e-mail and the temporary password. That worked for me at least (yes in this exact sequence, tho i guess it's the email you should type)

woooo just logged in. 5 figure roll and 1.1 million FTP points still there. I didn't receive any account information emails before this either, just the ID a month ago. Had the same problems making new password, but just hit cancel and it loaded up the lobby. All is well

Edit: Tried resetting p/w again and received the email, logged in now.

Everyone who can should change their password. Those servers have been in a state of flux and people who used to work for FTP may have had access to them while they were down . Unlikely but it's worth changing your password just in case, it's also standard security to change passwords regularly anyway.
Also, people asking answerable questions should probably ask them in the the Internet Poker forum thread since that's where "Doug" is posting now.
