Yes, don't see the action that night getting up to Macau levels but for sure some of the gaming guys will be donking off some money at the cash tables after. Also, just to be clear as I got abused already, we have no vested interest in the Fox Poker Club, we are not promoting any online brands there in any form, we are not making money from the event in any form (in fact we are donating extra money to the charity of the winner's choice, its supposed to be fun!!

Hey Tom

out of curiosity what is the minimum to sit down in the Macau game? 500.000HKD?

Depends on the stakes, but usually HK$2m and can be as high as HK$5m if the session has been going for a long time and new people want to join

The tournament was brilliant fun, met Jessie May, a really nice guy as I expected! Came over and chatted, got a bit embarrassed when he asked how many posts I have on 2+2, but we ended up talking about the letters I write and he laughed a lot, I really need to get back on that

Tom gave us all a £50 alcohol voucher, this voucher is also transferable to just about everywhere in London as well so I'll be enjoying the remainder of that this weekend!

Managed to make the final two tables (3 tables to start but it was a rebuy tournament) but made the break and had a couple of footholds but didn't manage to make anything out of my stack. The tables were tough, I had 2-3 really good aggressive players on the table (Nam Le on another!), with only a couple of weak spots. Had my heart in my mouth every pot I was in, was very exciting! Busted out with A8s when UTG MR and I shoved for 10bbs, probably a mistake in retrospect but not a big one. He sighed an called with AJ. Won a nice pot off Tom Hall the hand before with KQs vs KJ but donked them all off the next hand with the A8s.

Party was amazing Got champagne thrown into our hands when we walked in, the most incredible tasting sushi being served around (seriously this sushi was incredible), the hottest girls dressed in very little (painted clothes mostly!) dancing up on stage as well. Tried to use my alcohol voucher at the bar but they turned it down because the whole bar was free!!!

Met a couple of interesting people as well, professional sports betters (they tell me their edge is only 1%!), casino owners, and website owners etc. Had a good chat to a lot of them and learnt a lot about the industry.

They had 2 professional darts players there as well, one of whom was Peter Manely who I beat in a game of 101 (epic lol). Double 3 ftw.

Excellent couple of nights, some of the best fun I've had!

Railed the game a short while last morning, both ivey and durr at the table. Though ivey seemed much more interested in following the super bowl streamed on a MacBook next to him. Only showed a bit emotion at the steelers td in the 3rd qr, cheered out to durr, who justed looked sleepy.

I visited Starworld at Macau today, and I saw Tom Dwan, Patrik Antonius and John Juanda playing 10,000 / 20,000 HKD no limit hold'em with some chinese guys (1 USD = 7.8 HKD)

I heard that Phil Ivey is also staying at Macau, but he was not there at that time.

I introduce one hand between Tom dwan and Chinese guy

Chinese guy (approximately 3 million HKD stack) limped at UTG positon

Dwan (Cut off with 1.3 million stack) raised 50,000 HKD, and Patrik (Button with 2.8 million stack) called 50,000 HKD
Chinese guy raised 200,000 HKD, and Dwan called Patrik folded
(Pot size = almost 480,000 HKD)

Flop : 89J

Chinese guy bet 400,000 HKD
Dwan went all-in 1.1 million, and Chinese guy called immediately

Dwan showed QK
Chiese guy showed KK

Turn 2
River A

Chinese guy shipped it

Dwan borrowed 1 million from Patrik, and he looked losing much..

If someone is staying at Macau now, should go to Starwolrd to watch highest stake live poker

im obv an nvgtard but can someone explain why dwan would do that pre w KQ, call a limp r/r for 150k more on a 1.1 million stack?

I guess metagame purposes, the chinese guys like to gamble and in order to be keep invited to the games, dwan and the other pros feel the need to give action in these spots?

also in b4 'no strategy in nvg'.
