he will still have to run decently well to take a sizeable amount from the challenger...also, a heads up duel? im sure this guy is a solid poker player who has heard of dwans exploits in regards to playing heads up, i.e. live and online durrrr challenges
LOL nah bro... dude has lost over 100M HKD in the past 2 years learning poker. These guys are just uber rich business owners/moguls

If I had to take a stab, I think most poker players have ridiculously more money than people online know about.

My net-worth guesses:

Ivey - $100m+
PH - $60m+
durrr - $15m-$30m
gus - $30m+
lederer & fergusson - ZOMG dont even wanna ****ing guess.... itd be ridic.

I don't think poker would be the main source of income for many of the top poker pros. They'd be so hooked up with super-rich businessmen that they'd have heaps of side action sorted.

i also wouldn't be surprised if heaps of them had perma-shares in each other (obv. FTP probably have a perma 50% in everyone or soemthing)

Does Ivey call his banker in the states to ship him the monies or does he call FT and tell them to send him the monies from 'petty cash'?

And, does Dwan now have that same level of pull with Lederer, Gordon, et al?

If the answer to one or both is 'yes' then br is not an issue for either one. I suspect it will never be for Ivey anyway.

looks like after the second hand, Durrr has $19.5mil, so maybe he is up $1.5mil since he bought in for $18mil
Wouldn't Durrrr be at 27.5 mil total...?

First hand

10M in pot (5M from Durrrr) guy bets 3M Durrrr raises all in total of 10M

Meaning he started hand with a stack of 15m and wins 8M up to 23M

Second hand wins 4.5 M

Total Stack = 27.5M

because they're FTP (if you haven't heard of them, goto www.fulltiltpoker.com).
they sponsor heaps of top players (durrrr does kinda work for them)
it makes them look heaps sweeter if their players are playing epic nosebleeds

heck, money in durrrr vs PA could be play money chips for all we know.... maybe ftp gives them $500k each to just play and get everyone hyped up about it.

Rumors also say, that Chinese businessman, who he is playing, is from Shanghai and has been playing poker in Macau for two years. His total losses have exceeded HK$100 million.
it's really not that much more than Gus Hansen has lost in the last 2 years.... (its like $11m USD???).. Gus has lost like $8?m

edit: still cannot figure out how it is obvious that the company of FTP has 50% of all their action

You are pretty much echoing the suckers that seriously claim that nosebleed poker is not actually real, but just a show where sponsored players are paid to play against each other with playmoney to create a buzz and attract fish. And you were nominating yourself for this Macau reporting trip? GL...

curious if Mr. Hall, or someone else in the know on Macau casinos, would weigh in on legitimacy of casino security, cheating, role of syndicates, etc. Have heard stories that some of these facilities are run like early era vegas joints.

I don't have a long list of nominees to the Macau reporting trip but at least any 2+2 mod shouldn't be chosen automatically just because of the mod status. There've been dishonest mods and mods that can't write ****. Just saying...
Luckyjimm is a good option.

I just want to thank Tom, Matt and others for taking the time to update the Macau action. What is the highest denomination currency in Macau..I just have this image that players have garbage bags full of money but I'm sure most of them have credit accounts with the casinos so they aren't walking around with millions..How large are these casinos compared to their counterparts in Vegas? Aside from poker, how do you think these mega-millionaires are spending their time? Do they have lions and tigers and bears???

Anyway aside Matt Moores blog..this may be the best thread on two plus two!!!!

Why do people assume durrrr isnt rolled for that? lol

He lost 5 mega straight to a single guy and kept playing the nosebleeds..

he stakes a lot of players .. he plays live all year long .. he got an FT share ..

and besides, tracking sites are not accurate at all lol

just as an example.. all my games should be tracked.. but tracking sites show my roll as beeing less than 1/4 of what it is
