guys like lisandro and Tony G seem to find the HUGE games, but they keep them very downlow, who wants to share fish?
this is for sure the biggest NLHE games that have been somewhat reported on.
I don't know if he plays some nosebleeds cashgames or not but when he is in Prague(his wife/gf lives there) he usually plays at 25/50CZK games what is like 1/2$ ? and he plays them pretty seriously arguing about stuff and so. Maybe he just love the game...

Gus should fly to Macau, introduce local whales to backgammon, clean them out, rejuvenate FTP nosebleeds with the newly found cash and confidence.

Sick thread, TY STELLA, keep posting!

Yet he's playing the cap crap. But I was half joking in the spirit of this thread. While Gus is a great catalyst for nosebleed action, he doesn't account for the most interesting games imo. I just don't get off on those 40bb flips. Isildur/Blom cleaning out the Macau game would just explode the nosebleeds but obv that's not gonna happen.

sry for OT...

I'm sure Kevmath knows who Tom Hall is but I had no idea... Just really appreciated his posts and after hearing he won a $1M without even mentioning it I got curious

Founder of the APT... I'm impressed.
From WPT website:

http://www.worldpokertour.com/Shared.../Tom_Hall.aspx

http://www.worldpokertour.com/Live_U...-D40B8CDBF2C0}

Also found an interview with Tom and some Asian dude... conducted by a clueless ueberhottie

You can't hate on an accent like that... and you can hear by the names he mentions he's really in the know

Thanks for stopping by, Tom & friends! (No,no, Tom is nothing like "TheCoon...") REAL information is far and between around here, so glad some real insiders showed up.

Keep up the good work!

Still waiting to take Tom up on his offer hang out in Bali and with Chris at his place in Phuket. If I could play golf with Chris or dice with Tom every day I could quit my job

can't stop refreshing at work, waiting for updates !!!!

and to add about Tom Hall, class act IMO, as well as Matt Savage, keeping the 2+2 family informed on such an interesting topic of discussion, as us common folks love to hear about these games we will never play or even get to witness

Was out drinking with Matt Savage, Tom Hall, Chris Parker and a load of the APT girls. Matt Savage teaching Tom some dice game and it started at HK$20 a game (where Tom won) and ended up at HK$30,000 a game where Matt won all the moolah. I guess they still have to learn a bit from Lord Savage

Hey Tom,

I'm having a party tonight in about 2 hours, at my house in London, come along if you want. Preluded with some 5p/10p cash game action. (Probably HU). Appreciate it if you could bring some McCoys and OJ. If you can't make it no worries, but I look forward to be invited to your parties.

BTW it's fancy dress, the theme is benches.

Keenly awaiting your response

Tom does not like me talking about him here but I like to needle him wherever possible so I can say that his WPT Invitational Final Table was definitely a "learning experience" for him as Freddy Deeb read his soul and destroyed him!

Also, I hope he burned that shirt he was wearing in the interview as we would have a lot of laughs about it if he ever wore it again!

Just catching up with this thread from Taiwan. True Mr Savage taught me a lesson in the dice games!!! Exciting times in Macau and for poker in Asia generally. I was reminded of a true story from one of the online rooms I deal with which also illustrates how new poker still is in Asia.

They had a Chinese player that deposited equiv to about US$300 a day for about 20 days in a row and he kept losing every single day, no upward swing whatsoever. Customer support thought they better get in touch with a player so determined to deposit and lose every day and see if they could give him a few pointers or send him to an educational site or something.

Turns out the guy didn't know you could actually fold (thought the fold button meant quit the game) so he either called or bet every single game to the river for 20 days. After the CS guy picked himself off the floor from laughing, the online room actually sent a guy to spend a day training him. The same player has since turned into a damn good player (has won some medium size live events in Macau as well as being a small winner online!!!

Night all!
