Remember, if Ivey only had slightly more than 1M HKD and the straddle was to 40k, he's essentially shortstacked and 77 and AT become monsters.

+they seem to enjoy sparring and have a long history of playing massive pots against each other, online and offline. Just off the top of my head - Ivey almost correctly called a 3rd barrel w/ A6 on 6xxxx all overcard board against him on HSP.
X X X X 6 board where ivey floated flop, turned fd and rivered bottom pair and considered the call but folded.

It was KQT or KJT and he had flushdraw on the flop, so he had gutter+fd all the way. (or there has been two almost similar hands)

That Juanda chipstack pic is sick.

pretty sure modesty is one of his strong suits...considering he wasn't giving his own game much credit in previous posts, and you a) have to have some pretty solid poker skill or b) do not care about money and have a massive bank account...to play in games for such high stakes!

thanks again tom, and everyone else reporting for us!

Ivey has been concentating more on sportsbetting that the poker games. His largest bet was 4.5mill on the Miami Heat which he lost.
i bet $400 HKD on the game, so, he only bet 12,000 times more than me.
