Funny you should say this.

My mother and I have very differing senses of humor, pretty much anything I think is funny she would not like and I would probably scoff at 99% of things that she finds funny. If you made a Venn diagram of the things that we each find funny the intersection would be minuscule.

That said we both think Norm MacDonald is ridiculously funny. Norm has mass appeal.

People are really upset about this? This is great news imo. Norm is a poker player and he is a real comedian who is actually funny. As opposed to gabe who's voice makes my ears bleed and and tries way too hard to be funny.

I can empathise that PokerStars wants to get the most marketing possible; but I don't think the logo's of Full Tilt Poker are going to detract many of the (non-poker player) viewers from going to PokerStars.com which will be advertised many times in an episode. Developing that interest due to charismatic players and interesting plays is a key factor here.

Your buddy misinformed you. Pokerstars sponsored the show last year also and they played. Full Tilt decided not to let them play this year. (Pokerstars sponsorship was key in keeping he show on the air. They would much rather not spend the money, but then either Full Tilt would sponsor or the show would be canceled.)

Norm is an interesting choice. He is very into poker, but I don't expect his analysis to be as good as Gabe's. He shouldn't be too tough on me. My girlfriend gave him some hair coloring stuff for his gray hair a few years ago.
