I dont know your status as a player, but if you were to whisk back in time to a table with Brunson, baldwin, reese, ungar and maybe even helmuth pre 1990, you damn well wouldnt be the player anyone with half a brain would back.
Triple range merging, and all these other cute tactics, were employed back trhem too. THEY just didnt have a name for it. Go back and tell brunson and slim that you will polarize their ranges with your superior play, belly laughs galore.
It may be true there are more hi level players around today, but they arent better then the ones back then.
