Not sure if this is the right section to post this in, but i was browsing the guide, and saw there is a show on Nat Geo tonight called "Inside Underground Poker". seems to be covering poker in NYC.
"Across New York City, an underground economy exists that pulsates with danger, allure and adrenaline generated by clandestine high-stakes poker games. One of the top games in the city is run by Mikey Tatts, who has cultivated an eclectic roster of players and friends, including Wall Street brokers, doctors, business owners, drug dealers, pimps and people who make their living playing cards. "
I was at a random NYC club when a Nat Geo filming crew came in for "american gypsies". It was so random and funny. Fake money, fake arguements, fake everything. They just filmed at a table in the corner while the rest of us played thinking "wtf is a film crew doing here". They later told us what it was for. Oh and we all had to fill out those disclosure sheets for our faces to be visible or blurred.
Nat Geo is part of the "Digital Preferred Tier" of my cable plan. Apparently Im not paying enough money to my cable company for me to access this "tier". Guess I am ass out. Unreal.
Flop comes 2c7c6c Joey Mush says I have the Kc, so I need to bet just in case my second nut hand comes I can get paid off. Turn is the 7d, he says, "The turn is a complete blank" huh? Except for the fact its a paired board and you are still rooting for the second nuts. Then the river Ac comes, and he says i have the nuts. LOL I could not stop laughing watching this.
There is no possible way that was real. From the late night meeting with "Mush" and his nephew, "Dom" to the fight between "Dom" and "Mike" at the game. Everything about this show was extraordinarily contrived.
