Link to article in Polish about gambling bill currently in Czech parliament:
http://pl.pokernews.com/newsy/2014/1...wiac-13617.htm
Cliffs in English:
1. Finance minister estimates CZ government losing around CZK 1 billion (USD 50 million) annually on illegal online gambling
2. Gambling operators will be required to determine whether potential customers are receiving welfare benefits, in danger of insolvency, in arrears with maintenance payments or on a list of those with a gambling addiction
3. Those receiving welfare, insolvent, in arrears with maintenance payments, in therapy for gambling addictions or in debt to the state will be banned from gambling
4. Maximum hourly and monthly stop-loss limits will be introduced; the maximum amount of money that can be lost gambling in one hour will be CZK 1000 (USD 50), and in one month CZK 20,000 (USD 1,000)
Czech gamblers spend over USD 6 billion per year on poker and other games. This legislation, if passed in its current form, could be a massive blow to the Czech poker scene.
