I am not saying it is Farber but your reason to eliminate him is just dumb.

Bonomo collecting on durrrr challenge side-side bet from viffer? Viff already tried to any a 5k side bet with Cosmo chips. Bet was 150k each wasn't t?

28 yo poker player. Bonomo is 28. He was also a Boeing rep at home point, could qualify him as "famous".

$300k in cash. Bet with Viffer is 150 each, so 300 total.

Cosmo doesn't have poker, how many 28 yo poker players are winning 300k in the pit or sports book?

Viff already tried to pay a 5k bet with Cosmo chips. Makes sense he would want to liquidate those chips with no poker there, if he had that much for some reason

Originally typed on phone and missed some typos, can't edit anymore. Boeing rep at home point = Bodog rep at some point

obvious move is to keep the 300k, and claim the next guy to get into your cab randomly bolted out 5 seconds after getting in and you have no idea why.

unless giving someone their money back makes you happier than having 300k

This all day long. Even if they managed to track down that it was your cab, they'd still have to eliminate every single passenger you had during that time frame. Doubt the police would be willing to play Columbo for a poker player carrying around large amounts of cash. I'd feel differently if it was a mother carrying her kid's tuition on her way to deposit it rather than an absent minded and probably degen poker player.

poker player showed up in T-shirt and sweatpants to collect with no ID

this kinda sounds like Newhouse

Bonomo is usually put together and dresses well, so I think this casts some doubt that it was him...

think this thru... cab drops off poker player.... cab heads to bellagio..... u get in cab at bellagio and say driver take me to the wynn....then u notice the sack in back full of cash.... u keep quiet and have to start thinking on the spot.... what do u do with the sack? u load the cash in your pockets thats a lot of cash ,.... and you have to do this with the driver not seeing u move around..... then you realize the camera at wynn so you say drop me at a random home with no cameras.... You have to hope no camera in cab... even if there is a camera the cabbie doesnt know your name... but when this is discovered back at cab company they will see you get in cab at bellagio and they will plaster your image all over cnn looking for you..... busted

Fleyshman has removed Robl and Newhouse, if we can take him at his word.

Farber's age was 28 as of the break before the N9.

Emil was listed at "~26" at the time of 2M2MM (which aired in 2009-10). If you can suss out a date on this NYU story, you'll know his age – he was 21 at the time.

Edit: never mind, the article was written in 2006. So yeah, Patel remains in play.

I wasn't saying he shouldn't be eliminated but I was pointing out the guy who said you can completely rule out Farber based on the fact he had bought 2 cars was dumb.

You're correct about that. The 2 cars thing was the stupidest logic I've seen in a while

If it were him and he wished to remain anonymous in that article. Why would he suddenly admit it was him on twitter and make it known?

I am curious about the legal perspective though. When I sit in the taxi with bag of money it is mine. But once I get up and leave the money in the taxi. Does transferral of ownership move to the taxi company? If I am not paying a courier fee or any sort of fee for the transportation of it, it's effectively 'lost' and no longer 'mine'?

So if the next passenger comes in and finds said bag of money and takes it. Are they stealing from me? From the taxi company? Or they're not based on the premise of 'Possession is nine-tenths of the law' making my legal position difficult to defend.
