Not doing it again because people are ungrateful morons. His cell phone call was waaaaaaaaaaaay more important than taking the time to thank me. A nod is not a thank you, it's an acknowledgement.
I don't blame you for being perturbed with the guy; he definitely needed to do more than that. Like you, I wouldn't expect a reward (I'd actually feel a little silly waiting while he peeled a bill or two off the roll just for me picking it up, chasing him down, and handing it to him - I'd probably tell him not to worry about it), but I'd certainly hope for a little heartfelt gratitude.

But if you're sincere about never doing it again just because of one inconsiderate twit, that's a pretty poor approach. If we all let every encounter with someone like that change the way we do things, society would go to hell in a hand basket in a hurry.

Yeah, you need to let these things go a little IMO. I find the vast majority of people are grateful when you do things for them, small or large, and that's good enough for me.

Don't let them live in your head rent free. If someone doesn't accept your gesture of good will just know you did the right thing, feel good about your actions, and move on.
Very well said.

Has NVG figured out who left the $$$ in the cab? Cant believe 1/2 way through January and with all of the action at PCA a name has not come out.

Nice to see everyone act decent and get what they deserve. Mr. Clark made the poker world look a wee bit less slimy with the 10k tip (assuming all those mentioning him aren't trolling, as I've no idea myself).

I think the most telling part of the whole story is that he left a greater than 50% tip before all the madness ensued, albeit on a $10 fare.

sort of anti climatic if true as I wasn't familiar with Zachary Clark and actually this is the first time I ever heard of him. I follow a lot of things poker related so not sure if I would consider him "prominent poker professional".

Maybe he is more prominent around vegas poker scene than elsewhere.

Thanks PTLou. High Stakes online grinder if recall correctly as well in addition to the relationship with Chip R.
