Pro's paving way for deal with FTP?

When Viktor Blom parted ways mutually with Stars. Now Trickett has mutually parted ways wit matchbook? I'm pretty sure all this is going down so when FTP is back and running, they can get a sponsorship deal no problem, as in being locked up in another contract.
what do you all think about this?

stars now owns ftp, so why would blom part with stars to get an ftp deal

Yeah lol I didn't even think about that, but still they will have completely different games and promotions.
( different games as in different stakes of cash games) cause obvi Stars cash games are nowhere near how FTP use to be.
But I think blom will need the money to play the stakes at FTP, cause word on the streets he's broke trying to run his BR up by playin $5/$10

Blom leaving Stars is for FullTilt relaunch imo

Yes he was with stars and stars have bought Tilt but they are going to want to attract people to the site when it launches. Crazy to say he's not going to tilt because stars already sponsor him.

I think Trickett too either has a deal already or is in talks.

Yeah, because the Stars pros can't use the players money to play for ridiculously high stakes. Also, Blom is pretty much worthless marketing wise outside of the hardcore online poker scene, who already play online poker and therefore aren't targeted for marketing.

just because they own them doesn't mean they will share their finances. each has different marketing/finance divisions, each keeps track of how they spend money and on what individually.

Why would he partwith stars in the first place to focus on poker?

ANyway, FTP always cathered more to what isildur1 likes, it seems. So it makes more sense for him to be FTP pro imo.

If Blom was quitting Pokerstars to join FTP why wouldn't he quit the day before FTP opened and keep that fat, juicy, easy, ridiculous, unbelievable pay check rolling in?

Who said he was gonna "figure head of FTP". He just might simply renew his contract be a face of the FTP BRAND. And do a couple interviews.

It maybe a marketing strategy Not saying I can explain it but wouldn't surprise me if they though a break from a deal before the new FTP starts up would have more emphasis

Or i may be a legal clause Although you would think they would be able to waive such clauses but you never know.

There are plenty reasons he may have left now for a future FTP deal.

Don't rule anything out simply on the basis that he didn't leave stars the day before launch

this is what i thought ... they easily could have renewed the ps contract for some month until ftp is back online.

blom probably didn't want to renew and ps will find new faces for the important markets (e.g russia)

sometimes i really wonder how some 2+2 folks overestimate this whole promo stuff ("gosh it would be cool when sam and viktor would play on ftp ...")
