2. Dentists
3. Asians, over the age of 40, living in California

Seriously, I think it's some cultural thing. My mom used to put one on whenever she got a cold.

Its common in lots of countries to wear a mask if you're sick as a courtesy to those around you. Mainly in Asia, Mexico as well and I'm sure some other countries.

I was thinking well he is touching the cards also he should wear gloves. Though I guess he cant touch his mouth or nose to pass those germs on. Shame he is not wearing sunglasses also

It's originally a Japanese thing. (germs and/or privacy)

Juanda seems to be somehow related to the country as his post BF name is a Japanese TV Title and his location has been Japan many times on FTP.
