A huge chunk of the money they paid the Govt. was to be used to repay US players. It is no longer their responsibility to pay us, it is the DOJ's. Do I think it's right we're not paid? No, I certainly don't because I have money that could really improve my quality of life tied up with this BS, but that doesn't mean Durrrr or anyone else shouldn't represent FTP, who is owned by different people now. As of August they paid all US players money back, it isn't their fault the US is too incompetent to disperse the funds to their citizens. As of Nov. everyone else in the world has been paid back and got their money immediately.

How is FTP/Stars STILL to blame? FTP was shady I 100% agree, but since then they have upheld their end of the bargain and we have been repaid. If you want your money complain about it to our Govt. of crooks, not Tom Dwan.

How do you not understand that we have been paid by FTP/Stars and it is our Govt's. fault, not theirs. If we were any where else in the world we would have our money. Just because the DOJ hasn't cared to give us our money doesn't mean FTP/Stars didn't pay it.

I dont rly get all the hate about durrrr sucking? he could be busting his tail to stay at the top of the online game and trade money back and forth with sauce, ziig and galfond, but he would rather lose a little edge off his game to make a bunch of money playing live games. isnt that kinda the point of the game, to make money? he might not be able to beat 25/50 online but he makes 50x more than them so what does he care? Pretty funny that everyone in here has some definite figure made up in their mind that Tom is just absolutely crushing the games in Macau for. FT did not uphold their end of the bargain! They took deposits and spent them and now I don't have my FT money and am at the mercy of the DOJ. Only the pure luck of PS having the financial wherewithal to buy themselves out a legal mess by purchasing FT gives us any hope, not anything FT did.

Dwan was the face of FT, who took player deposits to pay to owners that Dwan was friendly with. It seemed he vouched for them after black Friday, my memory could be wrong, but I remember him saying something like they may have been dumb but not dishonest and he was telling everyone they would get their money back and he was willing to put up a million. It is also alleged he borrowed money from FT he never repaid, now we are told he has been blowing off JM in a HU challenge that he is woefully behind on because he has "better things to do". He admits JM was mad because he was being blown off, I would be too, and everyone in poker should look at Dwan a little more critically in light of events.

After black Friday PS paid US players, FT did not. So don't tell me it is the DOJ fault we have not been paid and not FT.

How does this work? I wouldn't think it's obvious Cates has to accommodate you when the challenge came up prior to the Macau playing. IF it's in his best interest to play as soon as possible, is it still obvious that he should wait because 10x the stakes etc? (I never get the "etc" after just one example.)
