Jamie Gold is currently 2nd in chips in event #59 $1500 NL Holdem. The tournament had 2155 entrants and 37 remain. Do you think that the best bluffer in the world will win his 2nd bracelet? He's looking pretty ragged these days.

Gold On a Rampage

We didn't catch the entire hand but Jamie Gold gave us a recap of his latest knockout. After three limps, Gold explained that he shoved all in with a covering stack. One player called the shove and Gold was dominated.

Gold: Jx 6x
Opponnent: JJ

Board:

Kx 6x 2x 10x 6x

The board comes down and the river gives Gold trips and huge pot.

"I'm not proud of it, but I am close to
Spoiler:
three fifty
now," Gold says, referencing his stack.

A count confirms that Gold is in fact close to 350,000 chips, but not quite.

Jamie Gold - 335,000.

A disgusted Barkatul Mohammed stood in shock, most of his chips being pushed to Jamie Gold who has Qx Jx that made a queen-high straight.

"I had aces," Mohammed says. "I bet big and he calls."

Gold,
Spoiler:
who had thought the dinner break was 90 minutes in length and arrived 30 minutes into the level,
responds "I told you I was steaming. I didn't go all in until I had the nuts."

Mohammed is crippled while Gold stacks a pot of nearly 700,000.

Jamie Gold - 700,000
Barkatul Mohammed - 50,000

confirmed steaming all in with the nuts

Gold makes poker so entertaining. Looking back at previous Main Event Winners, there hasnt really been an entertaining one since Jerry Yang of 07 and/or Gold of 06

At that time we realized as he said he needed about another tree fiddy that Jaime Gold was about 3 stories tall and from the cretaceous period.

I don't know why it took him almost 9 years to play another tournament as i put him on the same level as Phil Helmuth. That 3 high hand was mind blowing, the best players in the world would not have thought of playing it that way.

True story - I played 5/10 NL at the Wynn with Jamie for two weeks leading up to the ME in 06. What an obnoxious fool and confirmed luck box. And no I am not mad bro , I did not lose money to him, I actually took a good deal off of him. However, he was still up quite a bit that week or two due to playing hands like this:

2 limps, MP player raises to $120, Jamie calls in cutoff. all other folds. Flop is A 5 3 bow. MP bets $250, Jamie makes it $750, MP pushes for $4000, Jamie calls and is covering. MP - AA, Jamie - 4 2 off. Board doesn't improve, Jamie scoops close to 10K pot at 5/10. WTF? 4 2 off for $120 pre at 5/10? Yeah, that takes skill all right.....

The game was wide open because he was talking so much and running pretty hot. My main problem is that he was pretty disrespectful AFTER the hands to those he took pots off of. No sportsmanship and just an a$$hat in general.

^^^^

4-2 is the nuts.

Did you not watch the Aria SHR stream last night? 4-2 called for near $20K preflop and then went on to break Polk and almost take a big piece out of Siever.
