If Iovation just verifies identities, then what are they doing with access to hand histories from UB according to the recordings?

They were UB's software company.

Also, if you want to go to Facebook over a company then you should maybe contact Verfi, the company that clearly failed to do their homework:

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Verif...62583907163496

Verifi is the parent company of CAMS, the NV licensee contracted by Ultimate Poker. Verfi subbed the work to Iovation.

If so.... https://www.facebook.com/iovation
Or we could convince a lawfirm to represent the player base of UB/AP and charge everyone responsible for stealing player funds and sucking the company dry. These people have stolen MUCH more than what is alluded to in this recording and the paper trails prove it. We are owed $50million + and as of now, will not receive a dime. These people live in the US, have enormous assets, and can be held liable for the fraud against players, directly and indirectly.

Here is the link to the "report a crime" section of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District, seeing as how they haven't settled with any UB people maybe they can add further indictments...

http://www.justice.gov/usao/nys/Forms/civiliancrimereport.pdf

and if you want to do it anonymously...

I published an article about this on a site carried by Google News. Hopefully this will get the ball rolling on getting this info out into the mainstream.

Russ makes multiple statements about how Iovation would not exist without the super using , I think Greg or Dan even concedes at some point when the arguing heated up .

2p2 community sleuths back on the hunt. Keep up the good work. Can't trust these characters with that kind of info. But at least if they pull something shady, the NGC or US attorney are more likely to be on top of them.

how do we vote this up? I haven't listened to it but it's true wouldn't the IRS be interested if Russ won 20 mil and reported 5.

I guess 8 seems close. His options were to tow the line and do PR for a site that did large payouts or resign. He chose the former and players got a lot more back than Greg/Russ wanted to give back. Some of his 2008 PR is fatuous and self-serving. The interview with the CBC chic was ridiculous.

He should have demanded Hellmuth/Duke resign from the brand. We gained possession of internal investigation documents at Cereus and it's clear he chose to not gloss over what they found. The IRS is gonna love our film (well, in a world where UB criminals get punished that is).

They all knew about the existence of the tool, even if some were adverse to the idea. Some, like Brian Russ just sold a tale and moved on. Bates suggests they have all been silent to protect equity grants in ieLogic. Some of these most definitely converted into equity in iovation, hence the long wall of silence from techies who know a lot.

^^ Sometimes one is forced to go by what is available publicly or through a reliable anonymous source, I certainly do not dispute that angle, but I better be able to prove it if I publish it under my name. I am not able to prove this opinion but I am certainly open to receiving information that can. As you know, the information out there is not in agreement on facts.

I mean, its not really an opinion when a guy who was actually present goes public and describes all the other names who were present in the room. If there are sources out there that dispute Bates recollection of those early engineering meetings, that would be most helpful but the "rogue engineer" theory as originally reported by Chops is probably no longer operable. Bates said that Dehaan, Cunningham, Kirkowski and Hendrie attended those meetings. He didn't mention Brian Russ but we'll show why he was definitely present. It wasn't a big company with hundreds of employees.

Recently, Ars Technica ran an article entitled "State-by-state, America keeps betting on online poker and gambling", by Cyrus Farivar. A main topic in the article was the technology behind the identity management and geo-locating of players at Ultimate Poker. He might be interested in this story. :cyrus.farivar@arstechnica.com

Props to Travis for making all of this available to the community.

Also must suck for elevengrover to have to remove some of the fiction from his book so close to publication.
