These POS guys came out at a very tough time for people and told them they would get there money quickly. There was just no need for these two to say that at the time. They made guarantees that if people werent payed by such and such date, that they would guarantee 1 million a piece.

Now we wait till 2015 to collect our money, nice predictions Durrr and Phil Galfond. No pay up cause both you guys were wrong. Smart guys but when it came to this situation, they were very ****ing stupid.

FWIW I dont want a cent of there money. Just for them to stick to their word and not open up their big mouth in tough times when in reality they had no ****ing clue about what was going down at the time.

At this point, FTP is no longer screwing everyone, the DOJ is screwing everyone. If FTP was still in limbo, no settlement, no plan to pay everyone back, I would agree. As of now, the DOJ is in limbo, no settlement with the players, no plan to pay anyone back. They already said they were going to make the players pay a 'fee' for being nice enough to return our money 'whenever they get to it.'

You got paid a long time ago. It's your government that has ur money and does not want to give it to you. Frankly it's our country and our government and our fault that we allow this.

They told people they dont need to worry about their funds and that they would be returned by such and such date at the latest. They gave a lot of people false hope when in reality they knew nothing more about the situation then the average pro.

There was just no need for them to make those statements, it was very irresponsible and stupid especially considering their reputations and trust level amongst average Joe players.

If I was a US player with substantial FTP points/medals I would not feel this way. I think FTP/PS are screwing US players period.

Its easy to blame the DOJ for trying to clean up a mess that FTP created.

While we know they move very slowly, if they wouldn't have agreed to this deal nobody would have gotten paid anything.

I disagree with this. Yes its the DOJ taking a long time to pay which sucks. But It was FTP actions and piss poor Management that has our money in the DOJ's hands. Had FTP had a competent CEO and BOD they would have had the cash on hand and paid us back in a timely man like PS its customers, been able to keep there company and continue to make money.

They didn't and now we pay the price for having to wait for out government to work through this which is obviously going to be painfully slow. It just is.

I don't want to say TY doj for stepping in but honestly had they not we might have literally ended up with .01 per dollar or worse in UB/AP type spot.

I think the most frustrating part is and always has been the lack of any
communication.

So what, exactly, would you have done differently, OP, if they had come out and said "you're screwed. Probably little or no chance to get your money back."?
02-05-2013 , 10:47 PM
How many terrible threads about this exact same topic are we going to have?
