A well written post for someone foreign. Maybe a bit too well written and alarm bells rang when he said GCSE's. Not saying that it is fake but i'm definitely sceptical.

junglegirl and haseeb should know by now that NVG has incredible investigatory skills (see: UB Scandal). this is a really piss poor attempt at a level.

Yep, as has been mentioned by a few others too. Also the use of "mum" as opposed to "mom" is almost exclusively British English as far as I'm aware. Having said that, St Julian's international school in Portugal teaches with a British influence and students there take GCSEs, so I'd assume the school is also populated with a number of native English teachers as well as students, which would explain both the GCSEs and the use of the word "mum".

If this story is all BS, then it's pretty well crafted BS and as such fair play to whoever is responsible, but I for one am prepared to give OP the benefit of the doubt until given reason to suspect otherwise. For a US-based poster to go to the trouble of researching the British school system and whether or not that is at all available at any schools in Portugal, and then to supplement that with the repeated use of a British vernacular, and then to weave that into the story would be fairly impressive.

this is bad, now everyone will do what he did and games will get tougher.

We have people in here searching up English schools and crap. Ridic. This is a level. Case closed.

I am Outcast10 the self confessed micro stakes uber donkeyfish.

Gud to meet you.

It seems fake but after thinking about it a bit more it Is very possible the story is real and the triple p had his buddies help him write out his story. This would give it the somewhat fake feel. But, most likely it is a level.

So a gimmick account (presumably from the US) goes to the trouble of requesting a 20k swap to get money onto Party (unavailable to US players) in the hsnl thread back in December just to set up a level in NVG in March? Like I said, if this is BS then it's fairly impressive.

Yes. These guys have absolutely nothing better to do than troll NVG.

whether this story is true or not (still skeptical) it kinda makes me physically ill because it makes me feel like such a lazy bum. very inspirational nonetheless and its going to help motivate me to step up my poker game.

if this guy actually exists and he did write this whole story then you're ****ing amazing, and good job.

if this story was made up then thank you but **** you.

still really awesome though

It's hard not to be skeptical of his perfect english when you have some extraordurrrrrnary players on 2p2 posting like

"lol liek idk, b/c i g2g to bellagio. kk. "

It's impressive? That's laughable.

Two sentences into it, I said to myself, "His english is way too good". So has everyone else in here. If this was a decent level, we'd make it further than a sentence or two before we're all scratching our heads. Secondly, they were dumb enough to register the website under the name of the person who is most likely to have written this post/suspected of the level (Haseeb). People were saying it was him before we even saw the URL registrant name.

In addition, he signed up in December 2010, this post was made in January 2011, and this was made in late Feb/March. Also, in between December and now, if you read his thread history, he's only posted a handful of threads, all of which are at different limits... to make an obvious appearance that he's climbed as fast as his story claims.

Lastly, as someone else said, $400NL doesn't exist on Betfair. And I find it to be pretty convenient that he plays on Betfair (which, to my knowledge, isn't tracked by PTR... go figure.)

They haven't really made a convincing case in ANY part of this level.
Super obvious level is super obvious.

So can poker be related to a pipe?

fwiw, in my experience most non-native English speakers who have studied English to a high enough level tend to have better written English than a lot of native English speakers due to the fact that it's the mechanics of the written language that are taught in class, and not the conversational forms of the language, and so they conjugate their verbs properly, and form proper sentences etc, whereas lots of native speakers will be much more conversational with their English when posting on something like a forum.

So true, if this guy is real (and I think he is) then he is obviously very, very intelligent. This, coupled with the fact that he went to an International school make his English likely to be goodd
