It reads like a prepared statement designed by a publicist to make Howard and D̶a̶n̶i̶e̶l̶ friend look good and to curry favor with the community so that Howard can appear in public and feel comfortable.

I remember talking to Howard at a party right after FTP got shutdown and he was telling everyone around him how all their money was safe and it was just a short matter of time.

Yea people can talk **** to him, but if they do anything physical to him they'll be kicked out immediately. So all Howard will have to deal with is some **** talk. Wear headphones and he won't even hear them

Howard hid with his millions after losing everyone's savings. He could have put money of his own into escrow, as a show of solidarity and respect to the eroding future value of the balances, for one.

As an artifact his apology is cool I guess. It's more interesting when he's in the public than not. I hope he plays the full WSOP schedule and sells pieces at unfair markup on 2p2.
