I sent 60 Minutes a brief email letting them know in a polite way that if this is the direction of their program I feel they are lying imbecils and won't be watching their garbage any more after Sunday. I also signed the email and let them know that they could feel free to report me to the authorities because I have not committed any crimes while playing online.

FWIW. There will be alot of people traveling on Sunday and may not be home in time to watch it. (me being one of them) However im sure devoted 60 minutes fans will have it recorded.

yeah that whole cheating thing would just be COMPLETELY ignored for new users..

Now will you really believe any story they have on the future? I've seen a couple of there stories about things I know a lot about and saw how wrong they got it. The safe bet is assume everything on 60 minutes is slanted towards sensationalism for ratings.

I hear the president of CBS advised them to change the story. He was quoted as saying tI received 20 e-mails from desperate online players whom gave me non biased sites that clearly state online gambling is illegal. Therefore we have no reason to believe the DOJ.

Yeah, that'd be me. FWIW, when I was doing the interview, Steve Kroft asked me several times point blank whether poker was illegal in the US (yes, on camera). I made the distinction between the DOJ's official position and the actual state of the law very clear. dlpnyc21 was the other guy there during taping and can tell you more.

I have no idea what did or did not make it into the actual piece, though. Obviously, getting anything changed at this stage is a 0% chance, but I still think that if it was reported well, the actual story should be as favorable as possible for online poker and a pretty good argument for regulation of the business.
