I hear someone bought into a $125 tournament and got seated at the $25k instead and was playing for a while before anyone realized what happened.


Edit more details below, sounds like he played for 7 hours and had a pile of chips knocking out multiple players..

I assume this is gonna cause a **** storm, possible refunds?

idk if the guy has like $75 equity in the $125 and 13k in the 25k I feel like he should let it ride and hope they don't catch him more than ~99.4% of the time. If he values the chance to play with the baller HS pros he should be even more inclined to keep his mouth shut

Pretty sick. Glad bonobo is on the case, he's good at figuring out if wrong accounts are getting into tournaments and how to neutralize the advantage when they do.

Yeah. Hard to believe you're not going to get caught 100% of the time. They're always going to reconcile the prize pool and realize something is wrong. Won't take too long to figure out what. It sounds like they realized it fairly quickly after registration closed.

Wow! Crazy!
I Play the Aria 125$ regularly. Sitting at that table would be like using a VPN to play on Stars. I would never want to ruin my account with Aria / Mlife! The Aria staff is the Nuts, but I'm not sure how they are gonna handle this though!!

i think he was successful because he was using 125$ ranges while the other pros were putting him at 25k ranges.
