I grew up in Ontario and remember summer being so hot you wished it was winter, and the winter is so ****ing cold you wished it was summer. Fall and spring are the only good seasons out East.
I love the temperature being 20-25C in the summer most of the time.
Well it all depends where this wedding took place; my guess is in the boonies since we do not have mosquitoes nor black flies downtown and very few in the island suburbs. My guess is your friend`s wedding took place somewhere in the outskirts of Montreal (South Shore, Laval etc.) but that is not Montreal. Of course many people refer to anywhere near the island of Montreal as MTL.
I have to agree Montreal gets very hot and this summer we`ve had record breaking heat waves. But some people love the heat, some don`t.
BC is very nice, I am not the biggest fan of rain and it rains a lot there but it is true that BC does not get as hot or as cold as the 514.
Also if you only speak English chances are you will simply not enjoy Montreal to the fullest since it is truly a multi-cultural city.
Good luck to all the grinders moving to BC, it is simply stunning and people are nice. Also if you like skying, snowboarding, bananas and asian girls you will have a blast!!
