Re: Garden City Group to be Claims Administrator for FTP Funds - Claims to begin Sept. 18 - See

lol, are you guys serious? obviously +1 to exoendo. i mean its been goddamn delay after delay. "here's the email you've all been waiting for, but you cant do anything with it, that will come 2 days later on the 18th, where we will finally let you file, or not maybe we'll jack off all day and not post it who knows." its not like they've had forever to figure this out, get organized, or are supposedly professionals at doing this. but what can we do? nothing obv, just gotta take it how it comes. but its pretty "lol std" of them.

Absolutely serious. They said the 18th.. it is still the 18th in the entire US, and other expectation that you've put on it for timing is on you.

Re: Garden City Group to be Claims Administrator for FTP Funds - Claims to begin Sept. 18 - See

Once again, every body needs to relax if possible. If you did not yet get an email it is still possible one is coming.

"GCG is in the process of attempting to re-send any Notices that "bounced back" because of an invalid email address or for any other reason."

"If you did not receive an email Notice and you believe you are eligible to participate in the remission process, please allow 2-3 additional days, as GCG attempts to resend emails, and then you may file a new Petition for Remission."

Clearly, as you can see just from the small sample size here GCG is being swamped with unnecessary phone calls. People here were calling on the morning of the 16th asking why they did not get an email. Now they are calling wanting to know why the site is not accepting petitions yet. Try to be patient and wait for the information to come to you. There are 2 months to file a petition. It is NOT A SPRINT, it is a marathon. They are not going to pay you faster because you got your petition in first. They are not going to run out of money before paying you if you are the last to file. All of the information everybody here needs will be in place well before the deadline.

For all of the people that keep asking all of the same questions abnout "affiliates" or "rakeback" or anything else. NOBODY KNOWS YET!!! Please stop. NOBODY knows what an affiliate is in the context of the GCG announcement. NOBODY knows what your "balance as of April 15, 2011" means. We will. We will have all of those answers and soon. Try to chill.

For those expecting an email that did not get one and do not get one after the next 3 days or so you will still be able to file a petition, it just will not be one filled out for you. I think it is likely you will also have access to the data GCG has regarding that account, just like everybody that gets an email. It may take a few days longer to get to it, but you will have plenty of time before the deadline to file.

Take a deep breath people. Relax. Smile. Hey, hey you....drop that phone!

Re: Garden City Group to be Claims Administrator for FTP Funds - Claims to begin Sept. 18 - See

-1 to exo.

There are people who as of last night just chimed in to say that they received their petition and control #s. There are still people today that post here saying that they are expecting those numbers and have yet to receive it.

It's bad business to open up the flood gates before everyone, whose eligible, has received their control and petition #s. Just bad business in any capacity.

No way they open up the process before they are satisfied that they have reasonably attempted to reach every single person that is eligible for remissions. (e.g. emailed 100% of people they deem immediately eligible, not withstanding those who got their emails bounced)

Even such, anyone who has a large sum of money (over 4 digits) probably shouldnt be chomping at the bit to plug their numbers in. Let the process play out, it's safer for everyone involved. Especially when there are those of us who have big numbers owed.

I completely disagree. I think it is a huge deal to make sure you get that control number and petition number while these emails are going out. If you do not, I think you are already fighting from behind.

If you are able to talk to the right person, it could make the difference in your remission being accepted already to you having to prove something to them.

we are now 14.5 hours into the 18th, we are closer to the 19th than the start of this day. They have had months to prepare this, it's a matter of clicking buttons. GCG can't click buttons in a timely manner. They are being unprofessional. There is no acceptable reason for this to take so long. Just because you are used to being teased by now does not mean it is acceptable. It should have been live at midnight.

yeah i agree with ^^^

there are those who have called GCG already and have received pertinent informations about their accounts (one guy said his acct was marked as an affiliate already after calling GCG).

the deadline is Nov 16, or thereabouts.

If you dont have a control/pet#, and expect one, you better find out why asap.

That's your expectation that you foolishly created. The 18th is the 18th. There is still 9.5 hours left, so no one has lied, deceived, or teased. All they said was the 18th. Go for a walk or something.

Really though people need to stop freaking out. Although it will be more of a pain to get your money without an email, you still can get it. Freaking out a like a sheltered kid who has never left their mom's basement won't help you get anything faster. 50,000 phone calls asking for an email that you don't even necessarily need to apply is not going to speed things up.

In fact you all have slowed everything down. They most likely had to hire extra people to deal with the idiots calling all the time, and the anticipated increase of idiots calling.

Simple solution: READ THE SITE AND FOLLOW DIRECTIONS. It's not really that hard.

Actually from the sound of it emails are still going out. So, they are actually 0 for 1 on meeting their self imposed deadlines so far. Just because some people got their emails on time doesn't mean they met the deadline.

I'm with exo that this should really be quite simple for them to update their website. Surely they've done a dry run already. So, at this point their either incompetent or procrastinating. Neither option has a positive connotation.

That being said I will not submit my claim today. I probably won't submit my claim this month. I'd rather wait and see if we get any clarification on points and see how things play out for the early submitters. So, not having the website updated is far from the end of the world. It's just annoying to some degree.

wrong.

if your account is flagged as an affiliate, and you have documentation to show that it wasnt, i would not generically apply for remissions.

lets say your success rate for sending out emails is 99.99%

if you are talking about 1 million customers (i don't know the real number) that is 10k people still s.o.l.

GCG always knew there would be a portion of people that would not have an email on the 18th, and yet they have always planned to go ahead with launching the site anyway. So your point is kind of moot.

GCG has now said 2-3 days more for those that haven't gotten an email yet.

The point is, the site not being up is not because every single last person on FTP is yet to be accounted for.

[edit] messed up percentage math. you get the point.

i think the argument is moot because anyone with any significant amount of money owed to them is plain stupid if they plug their numbers in on day 1 regardless of options presented to you when you sign into gcg.

FWIW, I spoke with Dwayne yesterday at their 800 number. He said if you don't have a control & petition number, you absolutely will not be able to view what information GCG has, such as the balance they say you are owed.

Their website is really simple, and doesn't compare to the business websites we're used to in this day and age. I don't think it's going to have any way to find and link up to an account you don't have your control/petition number for.

Then again, it was some low level employee I spoke with, who could easily be wrong.

" Players who did not receive an email Notice may file a new petition, following the directions on this website, but their FTP Account Balance will not be displayed on the website; such Petitioners will need to provide the amount of their FTP Account Balance through the Petition Filing site, and will need to submit documentation to substantiate their claimed FTP Account Balance. "

That is a direct quote from the GCG page. Maybe I'm misunderstand what you're saying I'm wrong about, or maybe you're misunderstanding what reading and following directions means.

If you didn't receive a petition or control number AFTER all emails are sent out, it would be logical to conclude that they do not have any information regarding your account. How would they be able to provide something that they don't have? That is why they are allowing people to file with their own documents and petitions.

It's always possible. It's of course just a guess, but I think it's more likely they have information about all the accounts, and there's just going to be some accounts they didn't successfully get an email to. *IF* they're smart, for each manual petition, they'll do a quick check to see if there's a "dangling" account they already have that agrees with the figures provided so they don't have to actually review the documentation provided.

And you would know this how?

You would be wrong. There is no "fight here". If you were a legitimate customer of FTP, eligible for remission, and if, as a result of the "fraud", you lost money you will be able to file a petition for remission and you will get your money back, just like everybody else. Petition and/or Control Number aside. I promise you your account information, provided you had an account, is somewhere in that data and it can and will be located.

If the information in the database GCG has was not sufficient to identify you and send you an email yesterday then there is currently no "right person" to talk to. There may well be at a later date, but we have to wait for that info for now. The people answering the phones are reading from a script. However, if you chill just a little there will be specific instructions and resources available to you that will explain exactly how to get the information you need in order to complete your own petition for submission.

This type of "panic information" from folks never before involved in a remission is just not correct. In every remissions case there are always many victims missed by the "automated" process of identifying victims and preparing petitions for those victims identified. Trust me when I tell you there will be ample time for you to put yourself in exactly the same position for remission as anybody that got the "email".
