sorry for being rough mods... but i think this needed to be said.
solid post, it gets very tiring having to listen to all these idiots with <5$ locked up preaching about how FTP should go down in flames

Because of what happened...
They know everybody will pay attention to that.

He made fortune from buying bankrupt companies... why do you guys think he will do it wrong? makes no sense, but I will let you be pessimist, as you seem to enjoy it.

Praying for a "criminal" to bail you out is not the way to go. I assure you the Doj will bail you out and have your best intrests before a convict will. And it your own fault for putting yourself being so naive and getting into the mess in the 1st place, so suck it up and rebuild as your money is not coming soon to you anyhow.

American players will convert their credits in shares like all others. same BR in Shares. Half of Shares will be payed from Tapie in T$ and maybe a good bonus like 50% Rake Back?

I dont understad fine your last question, This is the strategy for the investors to buy FTP w/o any problem with DOJ, and put a small quantity of liquid to start FTP online again. And the solution to repay immediatelly to the players HALF of their money, and to repay other 50% at last 1 year.

how about all the people that have over 10k locked up? I know two people with over 200k and they use that money for their family. Does everyone have to suffer so you can see Howard get his?

The same regime was in control and on top of that, amazingly, that wasn't nearly as bad as ub.

If a person is going to buy a company whose reputation was obliterated in the manner FTP was, I'm inclined to agree he's likely to go above and beyond in terms of game and money security

Then again maybe not

Haven't read the whole thread but read the title.

I'd love the outcome of all this to be that everyone gets all or at least some of their money back, but Bernard Tapie doesn't have the best of track records or image here in France. Let's just leave it at that.

You don't sound like a winning player. I have 27 buyins locked online. I've made more than double that from Full Tilt in half a year (keep in mind moving up stakes etc). Playing there was obv a very a good move.

Maybe not but you don't sound like someone with alot of common sense or grasp on reality if you entrusted your whole bankroll to a offshore website who might one day be shutdown by the goverment.

What grade level reading comprehension do you have? If I made twice than what I have locked online, that means I have 1/3 bankroll online, not the "whole bankroll."

Yeah, can people with significant money on FT get a special hater-free thread please?
09-30-2011 , 07:32 PM
I am not sure about the situation yet. After ftp was shut down, I said to myself: ok, whatever the money is gone.
After this roller coaster of good and bad news I recommend everyone of you to think pessimistically about the situation, and not to add your ftp money to your br

I have to say, I want to see Lederer and all those guys punished for what they have done, but isn't there a civil case going to occur anyway? I mean the company could get a deal with the DOJ and after that the owners get sued personally?
09-30-2011 , 07:33 PM
Alright, bashing other peoples posts/opinions on the basis of the size of their FTP rolls is getting out of hand and starting to derail the thread. This is a warning to everyone involved, continued fighting will start resulting in infractions.

Keep it civil. You can attack a post without attacking a poster.

Can it be assumed that players will be paid their balances before the site reopens?

Your plan isnt a good one. How many $ in claims have currently agreed to your plan? How many players have agreed to put in fresh capital or redeposit (deposits can't be both an equity stake and a bankroll)? Donyou have an inestor lined up to put in fresh capital ? I'll obviously vote against or ask the doj to block your plan should it get off the ground, which it won't.

Ok im done then the convicted cheater who paid off a soccer team and did jail time will save you and the Doj will run to help him! Then he will run Ftp like a angel and make billions of dollars while having a shady past without doing anything shady. Gl gg!

I have no clue on this but I assume as withdrawing will involve opening up the client to access the cashier and manually withdraw funds, people may have to wait till 2012 when the site is up and running?

But who knows...

Maybe that date is an estimate, I'll geuss we'll know more after the meeting on Monday
